this is the first time that i have seen one of the canal boats surrounded by so much open water Bill... twiddling is OK... but tinkling in public will get you in troublegrin
....petersmile
Bill Phillips: I hadn't thought of that Peter. They are usually seen on our narrow canal system

But be sure it doesn't stunt your growth

On a more serious note it is so pleasing that the dockside and all those granaries & buildings have been conserved
Bill Phillips: I like Gloucester docks and having to go there shopping is made less unpleasant because of them
I quite like it, Sir Bill!
Bill Phillips: I am quite pleased you quite like it Ginnie

With one eye obscured by a tea mug, your twiddled reds certainly stand out. O like your composition very much. Did you go into the Waterways Museum?
Bill Phillips: No we were on a shopping trip.

Oh, I thought we would be in Birmingham - Gloucester docks is a place I would be interested in. I like your image very much.
Bill Phillips: You would enjoy a visit here Philine
The result of your twiddleisation is that the red elements are screaming 'look at me', and so my eyes dart around this banal scene from point to point unable to rest.
Bill Phillips: Well at least it will keep you awake

It might be legal but it is antisocial and I am thinking of getting my MP to but a motion before the house to have its usage severely curtailed ;o)

That said I do like the restricted palette of this photograph Bill, especially the instances of red.
Bill Phillips: Hahaha I have restricted my twiddles in recent times but every so often I have to let rip
I think it is quite nice Adds a stillness to the scene.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mary I am pleased you think so
I'm tempted to add Gloucester to our list of places still to go before we are too old, this looks a great place to walk and take pictures. Oh and I very much like the twiddle.
Bill Phillips: The cathedral is a gem and the docks are well worth a visit
Très belle prise de vue , Merci
Bill Phillips: I am delighted you like it Claudine

Bill Phillips: Pleased you like it Lady P
No it doesn't do it for me, you should be horse whipped.
Bill Phillips: I see you have woken, as if from a long slumber, and staggered into the nearest wall setting your mood to its usual level

Wonderful photo! I love seeing narrowboats, and I enjoyed all the views in this photo. Thank you so much for sharing, and warm greetings from Montreal, Canada. smile
Bill Phillips: Hello Linda from Montreal. Thanks for stopping by and for your nice comment.
But not, I hope, in public, Bill smile In any event it's a very good twiddle!
Bill Phillips: I do have some standards Tom
I love this one. I think the red with the brown buildings make this picture stand out.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Sue. I was quite pleased with this
