Dad

I found this the other day. It is one half of one of those 3D pictures. On the back it says Dad. trouble is I am not certain whether it is my dad or my grandfather. My dad was born in 1912 so if it is him then this must have been taken in about 1917

C'était un beau petit garçon.
Bill Phillips: Indeed he is Martine
What a find, Bill! I'm sure you're right that it's your Dad - it does look like a photo from the early 1900's
Bill Phillips: I am fairly certain it is him

So, he's to blame, then wink Any idea of the location?

I can remember those 3D photos; my grandmother had View-Master viewer and commercial photos of Austria.
Bill Phillips: Not a clue. I wonder as it was a stereoscopic shot it might have been done in a studio against a backdrop
I can see the family likeness Bill. I hope you can fathom out who it is.

If it is your grandfather, the shot would have been taken before 1900 and I doubt that he would have been parading in shorts back then.
Bill Phillips: I think you are right and I am almost certain it is my dad
Love the rolled up shorts.
Bill Phillips: Very racy aren't they? grin
I reckon it's your Dad, he looks very much like you doesn't he. Alan mentions View-Master, I still have mine and several sets of photos, am I sad or what!
Bill Phillips: I do look quite a bit like my dad. I would hang onto your viewmaster they could be worth a few bob!
