The Lakes

Spring Lake (the top lake) is as the name implies fed by a strong spring of crystal clear water, which then overflows into Whitsun Lake (the bottom lake).

Each lake has a character of its own.  Spring Lake with its open views and natural reed bed is  most popular in the summer months, with at least 16 stands. offering a good range of back casts, depths of water, ridges and natural food.

Whitsun Lake with equally good stands, depths, shelves, ridges and tree-studded island, offers a special secluded atmosphere and offers protection from the winter winds.

Stocking is on a regular basis, with quality Rainbow, Blue and Brown Trout weighing between 2lb – 6lb.  They are sourced to provide a strong fighting ‘fit’ fish, which result in challenging and rewarding catches.  Constant husbandry throughout the year, especially during the summer months, keeps the waters weed free and the banks neatly mown.

The Scandinavian style Club House with a kitchen, dining/rest area, toilet and decking enables anglers and guests to enjoy complimentary hot an cold beverages. We are licensed to sell beers and wine.

We sell essential items of fishing equipment as well as a variety of flies proven to be successful at the Lenches Lakes.

Très jolie composition avec ces fleurs en premier plan.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Martine. They make a nice foreground

You sell flies do you.

I think I'll pass on that but I must say Ratty does enjoy mealworms..
Bill Phillips: I am just giving them a plug. I know nothing about flies or anything to do with angling
This is simply wonderfrul Bill!
Bill Phillips: That is very kind of you Richard

This sounds like a good place to either teach worms to swim or, if they can't, to drown them. I can imagine that the membership for the lakes and clubhouse is not cheap.

Are you an angler, Bill?
Bill Phillips: No I am not. Some friends of ours stay here in their camper van every year for a family get together and we try to pop and see them
Do people swim in part of the lake?
Bill Phillips: I would not think so Mary
The sort of place my son would love for fishing opportunities.
Bill Phillips: Totally lost on me but it is a nice place

This is super Bill. I like the foreground detail on the left side, giving us distance but not restricting the view. Just a shame I read it as Leeches Lake to start with.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mike! I wouldn't find Leeches lake very appealing

To pick up the old theme, this is top quality Belgian rather than your Milk Tray. ;o)
Bill Phillips: Hahahaha
I love the floral foreground...
Bill Phillips: I was quite pleased it was there Larry
