Love the windows too... Sleeping will be like a King or Queen I think.
I wonder are the two chairs and the table with the tea cup as small as they look or are my eyes playing tricks with me??
Bill Phillips: No trickery Lady P. Those chairs really are small
Either that bed is REALLY big, or those chairs are REALLY small! smile
Bill Phillips: The latter dear lady smile
that is one massive bed, Bill. reminds of the ones belonging to my grandparents on both sides.
Bill Phillips: I don't know why but these beds with canopies always look short and wide. In fact I have been told they are actually a normal size!

And there is a table & chairs to allow LITTLE people to drink out of LARGE cups
Bill Phillips: Well they would have to share the one cup it seems
Since the other chairs appear to be normal in size, I assume the kids got to play in the early morning while Mom and Dad still tried to sleep? But look at the size of those floor boards. And most excellent in B&W.
Bill Phillips: I am not sure why the little chairs and table are here Ginnie

I think many people have slept well here over the years, Bill
Bill Phillips: No doubt they have, I wouldn't mind it myself!
Really charming in B&W Bill!
Bill Phillips: Pleased you think so Richard
What's going on here mate, my eyes can't make sense of this?
Bill Phillips: It is a picture of a bedroom. At the foot of the bed are two small children's chairs and a small table with a normal sized cup and saucer. The room has two windows which are casting a rather pleasing light onto the scene, particularly bringing out the beauty of those wide floorboards. The lighting on the gilt mirror frame is also good. It is a shame there is a loss of detail through the windows but this is not HDR

Ooooooo...I like this, Old Thing!
Bill Phillips: Much obliged cobber
Heck of a contrast range you had to deal with Bill, but still an interesting shot. I would have cloned out that sensor thing on the bedspread to be honest.
Bill Phillips: Yes I suppose I should have Brian
I like that the children can be entertained and expected to make the tea before the parents are up. Good training.
Bill Phillips: Start as you mean to go on!

I know my wife will coo around the children's tea table. For the rest it is a great picture in the world renowned blackdog style. Which is good in my eyes.
Bill Phillips: I am flattered to be compared with Mr dog

I'm with Elizabeth on this. How very odd!
Bill Phillips: They are little children's chairs Alan. In both ways that can be read
A pleasant room, Bill, who are the chairs for, the borrowers ?
Bill Phillips: I saw that on stage a few years ago as a friend of my daughter Helen was in it. She was very good as was the whole production, and we got to see the set up close afterwards

As Astrid has pointed out, there seem to be a different sense of scale between the items of furniture.
Bill Phillips: Thy are children's chairs but are such lovely miniatures
I'd happily stay there!
Bill Phillips: I wouldn't feel I was slumming it Tom grin
