Wonderful leading lines and color combos...terrific catch.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Bonnie smile
Nice lineup! Do you think the boat was named for the song?
Bill Phillips: A racing certainty I would think E

Joli ce rouge qui ressort bien dans ce paysage.
Bill Phillips: So many of these boats are painted red, often with green
A wonderful line-up Bill!
Bill Phillips: I am pleased they paint a lot of these boats red Richard
Lots of wabi-sabi in that brick work, Bill. You've stopped me at the colors in those lovely narrowboats (which I've grown to love).
Bill Phillips: I have been an expert in imperfection all my life Ginnie

The judges in a photo competition would love this bridge
Bill Phillips: Oh do you really think so?
It's a nice old bridge Bill and a fine snapshot too. Waterloo sumset was a big hit, it seemed ground breaking at the time. I think that we did not have a tradition of singing about places like Americans do.
Bill Phillips: Somehow "By the time I get to Dunster" or "Humberside Dreaming" just don't work.

Lovely decay in that terracotta, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Years of rain....well we are near Droitwich
These must be convertibles allowing the sun in when it it not raining. COOL>
Bill Phillips: They would have to be open even if it was raining or you wouldn't be able to see where you were going

It's a delightful bucolic scene. I like the texture in brickwork.
Bill Phillips: You can't beat weathering
I love these old bridges, the workmen knew how to do their job in those days.
Bill Phillips: It was hit by a German lorry recently but survived

A lovely serene picture Bill.
Bill Phillips: It was that sort of a morning Anne
Lovely shot, Bill.
Bill Phillips: THanks very much Tom
A lovely bridge indeed.. an American rock critic, Robert Christgau, one said that Waterloo Sunset was the most beautiful song in the English language. It's a lovely tune that I had not heard--thanks!
