St John the Baptist Church Bromsgrove 9 of ?

At last, I hear you cry, we are inside ......but someone turned the lights out!

Actually this was one of 5 exposures intended to make an HDR picture. The result was simply awful, even by my low standards . But this picture with a little twiddlette seems quite atmospheric if not entirely in focus

A little softness [aka light headedness] is appropriate from one who has taken a deep breath and plunged across the threshold between heathenness and gawdliness, Bill.
Bill Phillips: That is a good excuse
I think... I think I know what Ray means... smile
I do love just that touch of light!
Bill Phillips: I just wish I had taken the tripod

I think this just turned out to be a great picture. Love the little light here. I wished Ray talked English so every once in a while, I have no clue what he is talking about.....(maybe he just talks too much wink)
Bill Phillips: I think he is making an observation that the unbeliever has entered the portals of the believer after a deep breath and is, understandably a bit shaky. Or he may just be rambling grin
It turned out to be a superb atmospheric shot Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard, the light was nice

Oh dear..
Bill Phillips: I should have taken the tripod...it was in the boot of the car

What a warm, spiritual atmosphere in this church- I love your image!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Philine. I am pleased you like the atmosphere
I have been inside many European churches with such lighting, Bill, so this seems just about "perfect" to me. It feels very warm and cozy.
Bill Phillips: I love the light in churches and really should have used a tripod!

Don't take any notice of Chris! He is just jealous!
Bill Phillips: It would be a first Lisl grin
Sorry Bill, I'm in the dark.
Bill Phillips: So what is new?

This picture looks great with the under exposure. I have been tempted to use the dark exposure of the HDR series as well.
Bill Phillips: I often find that using one underexposed picture is better than HDR
The little light makes for an atmospheric image Bill. Looks like some drama is about to unfold
Bill Phillips: Thanks Janet . I think you are right
I will admit to never getting the tripod out of the car boot, but it doesn't matter, I think this is a terrific shot, a lot of mood and atmosphere with a fine looking main window.
Bill Phillips: Daft not to really Brian as you don't have to use it but it does make life easier!
The result is really good
Bill Phillips: Thanks Martin
It looks like you have broken in in the almost dark.
Bill Phillips: Brilliant sunshine Mary. Very underexposed

I like the way it leaves something to the imagination. To me, HDR seldom looks completely satisfactory.
