Should the one below be steadying the ladder, or be ready to catch to climber?

Hmmmm.. Now I would not have thought that the truck bed would make a suitable forting the ladder. Is he putting up the sign or taking it down?
Bill Phillips: He was taking it down. Successfully I may add
Ah ah, is the one at the bottom of the ladder a skiver Bill?

An accident waiting to happen, Bill.
Bill Phillips: They have probably been doing this for years Pauline.....I think they came from Liverpool
I borrowed my son's truck to put the ladder in it to get more height. I didn't wear a blue jumpsuit though.
Bill Phillips: You are very brave Mary
Surely he should at least have had one foot on the bottom rung, and where's the dayglo coats and helmets?
Bill Phillips: Some of the Lions members on the other side of the raid were wearing them ....well the hi viz not the helmets.....books aren't THAT dangerous
I wonder what the liquid is in all those containers Bill.
Bill Phillips: I think it might be chemicals from the shop which was a dry cleaners. Clever of you to notice them Chad
So far so good
Bill Phillips: Well yes and I can confirm nobody was injured

Well he is not holding the ladder steady, so must be planning on catching the climber in an emergency.
Bill Phillips: I don't think he cared less Louis
