Fear

They have installed a temporary scaffolding tower at the National Trust site at Sutton Hoo. Great views from the top. This lady is a Trust volunteer who bravely climbed to the top even though she is afraid of heights.

She still is

This and crying are probably my two favourite songs of all time

A brave woman she is Bill! Fine portrait.
Bill Phillips: She really wasn't happy up there!

Do you mean 'that she is still up there.
Bill Phillips: I can assure you comrade that I saw here return safely to ground level

I see she has a symbol of eternal life in her ear, so perhaps that helped, Bill!
Bill Phillips: Not that you would have noticed. She might have felt safer wearing a parachute

Nice image: I remember that tower as being somewhat precarious..
Bill Phillips: It did look a bit Heath Robinson. I would not have wanted to be up it on a windy day

She believes in God or an Egypt religion and will not fall down- first I thought she would be a man.
Bill Phillips: I don't think her Ankh gave her much comfort when she was up the tower Philine

I have a DVD of "Black and White Night", and find it hard to fault any of the songs, Bill.

Loved that musical geniuses like Tom Waits and others were so willing to sing back-up doo wups on it, too.
Bill Phillips: I saw it on TV and bought the video....we then had to go and buy a video player....how rapidly things change.

Quite a line up which included Springstein, KD Lang, Elvis Costello too

What does she go up there for then? Do they allow visitors up the scaffolding tower? Surely for such activities a high viz vest would be essential (and a parachute)?
Bill Phillips: I think it was a one off. The tower was for visitors to go up. It is a trial and if successful they plan to erect something permanent close by.
She was as brave as you Bill, good on her.
Bill Phillips: She was braver than me. I don't much care for heights...she was terrified of them!

The close crop heightens the tension. Very good Bill. Roy Orbison - top man.
Bill Phillips: The big O ...my regret is never having the chance to see him on stage
I feel her fear. I climbed three steps up a ladder yesterday and was on my way to that expression.
Bill Phillips: You sound worse than Ange. She would not have gone up there
what a fine capture Bill... very brave
Bill Phillips: She was because she clearly had a very strong fear of heights
I'm not sure I would have ventured up a temporary structure.
Bill Phillips: It was a serious scaffold tower but I wasn't totally convinced!

Brave lady to do that, Bill. Her face says it all.
Bill Phillips: She was and she was mightily relieved when she got down again!
i see that you have captured her emotions very well Bill....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Peter. It was a big scaffold tower!
Not a happy bunny!
Bill Phillips: She was a lot happier once she got down again
Bless her heart!!!
Bill Phillips: Yes indeed E.
