I started at 3, too, Bill.

There is enough detail captured for you to have rendered it attractive.
Bill Phillips: I still have the camera and it still works perfectly well
I think you've brought out some lovely golden colors!
Bill Phillips: It twiddled up quite nicely E

I started 2 Megapixels and nothing wrong with that camera though....
However.... my brother bought one (the exact same)in Canada, after 6 months I bought mine, in the Netherlands..... after 5 years at almost the exact date 6 months apart they both had the same problems and we could not take pictures anymore.....somebody put it a 'clever' chip????..... we will never know......
Love the golden colours in your picture.
Bill Phillips: It would not surprise me Lady P. My little Kodak is still working after 11 years

Looks ok doesn't it. In 1990 on this day Windows3 was launched
Bill Phillips: As I recall Windows 3 was rubbish but was much improved by windows 3.1 which, of course, you had to pay to upgrade to.

When did you buy your first digital camera, Bill?
Bill Phillips: 2004. I had more or less stopped taking photographs until I got my hands on a little Kodak camera for £99!

a fine experiment with a nostalgic feeling!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Philine. It was fun twiddling some old pictures
It's fun, Bill, isn't it. Man, we sure have come from far, as Lady P would say.
Bill Phillips: Now the latest Canon has 50 megapixels. Big changes in the last few years particularly

3 megapixels.. luxury! My first was 640kb! Your editing had done a good job with this.
Bill Phillips: You must have been a pioneer Alan
I like the nostalgic feel here Bill! I started with a Sony 3.M.
Bill Phillips: We thought they were amazing at the time didn't we?

I wondered what had happened to it.
Bill Phillips: I still have it and it works
The composition is very nice. Pixel amounts can't change that.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Mary that is a nice comment smile
I was so proud that my first digital camera, an Olympus compact, was 4 megapixels, sadly it went wrong, but to be honest, like this one of yours, the pictures weren't bad for the time.
Bill Phillips: You were in the big league Brian smile

Lovely autumnal colours, it's hard to believe how quickly camera technology has moved.
Bill Phillips: Cameras are almost obsolete as soon as you buy them!
A journey we have probably all been on Bill. Good you still got yours as I think I've lost mine
Bill Phillips: I am sure it is Janet. It is fun to get it out now and then and take some pictures with it. I don't usually keep them but I might do a series of new ones one of these days!
I'd go for this colour on the land here instead of being buried in snow right now.
Bill Phillips: They are hinting we might yet get some snow here but it won't be anything like you have!
This turned out perfectly with your twiddling...
todays and Fridays pictures were taken with a Sony DSCP92 Cyber-shot 5MP Digital Camera... i didn't have to twiddle then at all....petersmile
Bill Phillips: We are obsessed with pixels and for most of us we don't need 50 megapixels! 5 would do perfectly

Very brown Bill, very 1976ish.
Bill Phillips: I gave it an autumnal feel
My first had 0.9 effective megapixels - a Nikon - rubbish pictures but it still works!
Bill Phillips: Sounds silly now. I don't suppose it was cheap either!
