Ogden Retrospective

The first concert we took the girls to was Dire Straits at the NEC. Helen asked "will it be loud" I will never forget the look on her face when it started!

Haha- the pidgeons are rather wise! The music is good - even for my ears and taste!
Bill Phillips: Mark Knopfler who plays guitar and wrote most of their songs is a very talented and original guitarist

This is so bad it's good. Your picture not the music - which really is good
Bill Phillips: Dire Straits were very good live
Pigeons are quite smart, aren't they Bill?
Bill Phillips: They survive and thrive Richard so they must be pretty smart

You have real style Oggy
Bill Phillips: A class act
Two lots of excellent entertainment today. I love seeing the very obvious 80's look of the band.
Bill Phillips: The music was better than the fashion...well in the case of dire Straits certainly

I think you've turned Philine into a Dire Straits fan. I liked their "Sultans of Swing". The pigeon's are fine - the joke is terrible. Could you not also use water to see which end is which?
Bill Phillips: She can no doubt appreciate his talent on the guitar Alan
The pigeons provide a great opening act for Dire Straits, Bill.
Bill Phillips: A bit of comedy before the serious stuff Beverly
I think I remember this one from before, very amusing. I always regret not going to see Dire Straits, they were active during the time we were bringing up Chris and Caroline and the chance of getting to one of their concerts from where we lived was out of the question.
Bill Phillips: We saw them with our girls at the NEC which is only about 30 minutes drive away
Haha. Very good Ogden
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Janet
Dreadful joke, great DS track - great example of a band only being as good as its drummer - imagine them without Pick Withers!
Bill Phillips: They also had a great keyboard player and one hell of a guitar player, but I can't argue about the drummer. Top class
Water would be better and cheaper, if the worm drowns ,tough..It's a good job you live miles away.
Bill Phillips: It is funnier with flour.
What a terrible joke... I think I'll steal it...
Bill Phillips: A classic terrible joke Larry. Let me know how many groans you getsmile
