the English have a wonderful way to winter their boats Bill...
they just drag them onto the beach and come back in the spring to drag them back to the water...

i have to trailer my boat... clean all the algae off of it for two days...
drive it into town 25 kl away to have it winterized...
park it in my back yard and rake the snow off of the winter cover when it gets over a foot thick...

i had to do that yesterday...

but it is worth the effort because this is where we chose to live grin

Nice shot of the beach, Bill, trust me to choose this summer to be away....smile
Bill Phillips: Ah but you had something better than mere weather to be away for Frank
Lots of details to view in your fine image here.
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Jacquelyn

Now I did not enjoy the summer at all, I'm afraid. I don't mind heat but I can't cope with the humidity. That said, if I was retired and could just retreat to pretty beach without too many screaming kids then perhaps I have have a different view. I can still vividly recall the lung searing heat as I cycled home from work some days.

This scene is delightful; I enjoyed a few hours here with Miss Tripod Carrier back in July.
Bill Phillips: I don't recall it being particularly humid. I can't stand humidity.

Got to admit it is a lovely place whatever the weather. We took the kids there to the Pecorama place many years ago.

It is good that you are not a grumpy, complaining sort of a bloke, Bill...
