"I am gonna have a good ole public yell!"
Bill Phillips: He certainly did Ray grin
i'm sure that they pay attention when he calls out the commands Bill... great portrait...
Remembrance day in Canada is always on November the 11th....petersmile
Bill Phillips: It is here too but we have Remembrance Sunday services at all the war memorials around the country
Good shot, Bill, he's not going to let anyone forget, and rightly so.
Bill Phillips: This is his last year of doing the parade in Droitwich.
Great portrait Bill. Remembrance day will take place tomorrow here.
Bill Phillips: And here but we have Remembrance Sunday

He's in charge, Bill
Bill Phillips: Apparently this is his last year. I have sent this picture to a friend of his on facebook so that she can give it to him

I can imagine what he did say. I thought Remembrance Day will take tomorrow in many countries ...
Bill Phillips: It is remembrance day tomorrow as that is the 11th of the 11th, but Remembrance Sunday is the day we all gather at the various memorials for a service of remembrance for all those who died in so many wars.

This is a wonderful portrait of the man in charge. I saw your reply to Lisl. I hope he likes his portrait.
Great shot.
Bill Phillips: So do I Lady P....or he might come looking for me grin
He'll love his last hurrah, Bill!!!
Bill Phillips: He will be missed Ginnie

As I've got older, I find Remembrance Day commemorations very moving. A good action shot of the Modern Major General.. umm.. Sergeant.
Bill Phillips: It is perhaps the fact that we have lived our entire lives without having to fight in a war.

What a baboon!
Bill Phillips: He is apparently a very nice bloke
Fabulous shot whether he was yelling or singing.
Bill Phillips: He certainly wasn't singing Mary.

I think he is just calling out the word 'HEROES'!
Bill Phillips: Perhaps he was. I would never have made a very good soldier
a fine portrait of a commanding figure
Bill Phillips: He certainly makes an impression Ayush

Having spent time in the Army I know all about the types who like to parade and shout. They are usually the ones who had the cushy backroom jobs but still get the medals. The real heroes you don't see.
Bill Phillips: In industry they are called middle managers
The guy on the Albert Hall every year who does the 'remove headgear' bit for the three cheers at the end probably shouts as loud as this guy.
Bill Phillips: He has a good strong voice Brian

Well they have to be heard all over the parade ground. "Saluting on the march, to the front Salute" Interesting manikins - takes me back to national service.
Bill Phillips: They do indeed Louis
The archetypical Sergeant Major!
Bill Phillips: He could certainly boom out the commands
Brilliant capture, it remind me of the guy in it ain't half hot mum
Bill Phillips: Hahahaha

Some might want to forget him smile
Bill Phillips: Where would the Army be without a Sergeant Major on the parade ground?
Great shot, Bill! - perfect timing for a great expression!
Bill Phillips: I got lucky grin
