great pov. i like it that you chose this to show the upper level.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ayush. As far as I know you usually only see this in non-conformist churches

Ah, this must be new since my visit; I don't recall a church. Looks the sort of place where you would get a long sermon about the evils of drinking smile
Bill Phillips: It has been there a fair time but I don't know how long. Methodist so no doubt the demon drink got the odd mention
I think your treatment suites this very nicely!
Bill Phillips: I am pleased you think so E. It is nice when someone agrees with me...a rare occurrence
i love your point of view on this shot Bill... the light seems to be streaming in... superb treatment....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Peter. I like this church
Fabulous light, Bill. And I have always liked that particular quote: "Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."
Bill Phillips: Psalm 96 apparently Ginnie

Oh, a wonderful wooden church - still working? B&W of the finest!!!
Bill Phillips: Services are arranged by the Friends of the Museum throughout the year and include a Sunday School Anniversary and Harvest Festival, helping to recreate an important aspect of Black Country life.

Nice shot: I can just hear the rafters ringing with old fashioned psalms & hymns!
Bill Phillips: The Methodists turned out some good hymns

I have many happy memories of the Black Country Museum. Wonderful picture of the church, excellent choice of the B&W.
Bill Phillips: It was a great day. This was more recent as I have been a couple of times since

A fine indoor shot and worthy of Black Mondag Bill. Don't forget to only show colour for the rest of the week to emphasise this special tradition.
Bill Phillips: Sadly it is not. I have a lot of black days these days
This shot evoked an odour for me for some reason. I could just smell this old church.
Bill Phillips: The smell of old wood, Bibles and hymn books Mary.... and just a whiff of brimstone perhaps?

Excellent b&w conversion, old multi-talented one! You even managed to polish the woodwork here.
Bill Phillips: Polished by generations of devout (and probably not very devout) Methodists for over a 100 years
I knew where this was almost before I saw it full screen, it looks good in B.& W.
Bill Phillips: Suits it well I thought Brian
Simply wonderful with your treatment Bill!
Bill Phillips: I am very pleased you like it Richard
What a fine day out that was. You have done the church proud with this shot.
Bill Phillips: It was indeed. I have been a couple of times since and enjoy it every time I go
Nice old fashioned pews - and a nice presentation, Bill.
Bill Phillips: A fine old Methodist chapel Tom
