Boat Friday

Back in April in Soggysetshire with Trimbo and the Stooges....no they are not in the picture. Why would I want to spoil it?

It seems they have big tidal variations here, Bill...good for you as the exposed pebbles look very interesting.
Bill Phillips: I am not very knowledgeable about tides but I don't think this is all that unusual

One day I like to see a harbour like this in real life. So fascinating to have no lock system.
It almost seems cruel to the boat..
Fabulous picture, I bet that they were waiting for you in the local pub, singing sailor songs???
Bill Phillips: British boats are tough grin

That lot singing sailor songs is a frightening thought
Three boats for the three stooges!! I do like this pic!
Bill Phillips: Well them I am a happy chappie today E
it is a wonderful picture Bill...
i find it strange that they don't pull the sailboats out and put them on cradles... they are just there sitting on the stones....petersmile
Bill Phillips: By the time they did tart the tide would have come back in again I suppose

Bill Phillips: Indeed so comrade. A lot of fun
This is a view to die for, Bill, no matter who's in it to spoil it.
Bill Phillips: It is a beautiful place. Not hard to see why Chad loves it

Are we in Lynmouth? A nice harbour scene! The title is suiting.
Bill Phillips: This is Porlock Weir where we stayed on our Somerset excursion Philine. A delightful place

I see you are still re-living your holiday, Bill - is this to exorcise it from the mind?
Bill Phillips: I still wake up screaming Lisl

Why indeed?

I presume the sea is behind us?
Bill Phillips: To our right Mike
Did people have to pay extra to have water under their boats.
Bill Phillips: This is the Westcountry Mick...and you need to ask??
they better remember to lower the masts on their way out under the bridge, Bill. i like the clear sky
Bill Phillips: I think the bridge lifts...or does it?
This looks like such a great place to visit. Nice shot.
Bill Phillips: You would love it I think Mary
What a wonderful view Bill!
Bill Phillips: It was Richard. A delightful place
Nice one, Bill - I reckon this one will do for 15 BFs smile
Bill Phillips: Might even squeeze a few more out!
I think I said before that we had the chance to go here during our Minehead holiday a couple of years ago and didn't bother, seeing this I wish we had, lovely little place isn't it.
Bill Phillips: It is a delight Brian. I had no idea that this was what they had arranged and it was just fantastic

Ah... now I do enjoy some G & S; "Pirates" is my favourite I was Lighting Director for the local am dram company for a while and that was "my" show. It will be a while before some of the yachts will be going anyway.
Bill Phillips: I like Pirates too. I love the lyrics and the use of English that has long since been lost
Lovely shot, Bill. Doesn't it seem a long time ago?
Bill Phillips: It just has flown by.
