Joseph

Today is Ange and my first day of looking after Joseph for the day now that Helen has gone back to work. We only do one day as both Helen and Andy have gone part time to allow them to be at home, one or the other of them, on the other days. I had some practice yeasterday at nappy changing.

So on Thursdays I won't be commenting until later in the day, assuming I still have the strength

Scene: Little Joe's nappy is evidently ripe...

Ange: Stand back Gramps and give Granma some operating room

Bill [elbowing his way into the centre of the action]: You go and make us a pot of tea, Petal...I am keeping a List, and it is definitely my turn...
Bill Phillips: I did stay in the room.......which for me is good. I also gave him his lunch.

HA, you will enjoy that and Joseph will be spoiled rotten grin.... that is Grandparent privilege.
He looks great.
Bill Phillips: We had a great time. I think Joseph decided to give us an easy first day.

Lucky you!
Bill Phillips: We had a great time! Ange dealt with the mucky nappies but I did stay in the room, albeit at a safe distance

My best wishes for you both - after all
the crawling around, playing, laughing, giggling, nappy changing, feeding, photographing etc. you will be totally exhausted lying down like a flunder on the carpet or in your bed! Joseph looks happily absorbed in his play with the teddies.
Bill Phillips: We had a great time today. Took my camera but never got a minute to actually use it.!
It's printed on nappies now front and back so that will help you.
Bill Phillips: Funny you should say that. The first one we tried a while ago we got on back to front until Helen pointed out the number went on the back! Still in my day we used Terry towering ones!! We changed two mucky ones today...well Ange did while I bravely sat in the corner of the room
So cute Bill! I really enjoy looking after my grandchildren...I bet you enjoy it too!
Bill Phillips: We had a great time Richard. He is a delight!

You'll soon be heading down the pub and leaving Ange to it.
Bill Phillips: Not a chance!! Now if I had 13 of them then it might be a different story!

Well we will just have to accept your apologies and content ourselves with your fine photo of the charming chappie.
Bill Phillips: He was very gentle with us Mike...mind you I am a bit knackered!
How lucky you are. I may get my chance next Tuesday if I can get my afternoon off. I lobe babysitting the grandchildren! we sing and dance and then sing and dance some more.
Bill Phillips: We had a ball Mary. Played and lots of books and a bit of singing too!
He's gorgeous, Bill. he looks so contented. Have fun enjoying his company.
Bill Phillips: We had a lovely time. A bit tired now though!

Ah... the importance of grandparenting! I'm sure you can find an excuse to be out of the room at nappy changing time wink
Bill Phillips: I was very brave and sat in the corner offering advice
Yes, you will be totally exhausted at the end of the day, Bill, but then you'll be counting the days until you can do it all over again.
Bill Phillips: I am a bit tired! We had a ball and Joseph was very kind to his grandparents!
He's gorgeous Bill, enjoy this time with him. We've got our two staying over on Saturday night, at 12 and 7 it's a different ball game these days than when they were small!!
Bill Phillips: It is beyond value Brian. We love every minute of it

You'll soon be used to the nights of broken sleep ... and will be loving every moment of it all
Bill Phillips: We have him during the day....we are not daft
He looks a healthy lad (and no doubt everyone is saying he looks like his Grand-dad!)
Bill Phillips: We used to think he looked the image of Andy but now we can see more of Helen in him....he is far too good looking to be like me!
Does this mean I have to come and show you how to change a nappy, might as well show you how to use a camera at the same time.
Bill Phillips: I can change a nappy. Now I know the number is on the back! I have no idea about using a camera. I just point it and hope for the best....come to think of it that is a bit like changing a nappy
