If you visit Launceston then the little 2ft gauge steam railway is a joy. Joseph got to have his first ride on a train and enjoyed it!

Ooh yes - bet he was thrilled by this!
Bill Phillips: He loved it and at the end of the line was a farm park which he also enjoyed. Well so did we!
That's a very good idea to change the picture. It looks very special in this way now, good work!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Diana. Very pleased you like it
Oh, how fun. And fabulous selective coloring, Bill.
Bill Phillips: It was a lovely day and Joseph enjoyed bothe the train and the little farm park at the end of the line

Wonderful! Who would not enjoy a trip on this? (Well, actually, I can think of several people but that's their loss!). I bet the workers at the slate quarry would have enjoyed a cab like to this to keep off the occasional wet day in North Wales wink
Bill Phillips: It is a nice little railway with a farm park at the end of the line which little Joe enjoyed too!

I am not a fan of spot colour and you have reminded me why, thank you.
Bill Phillips: That is fine because this isn't. It is red and b&w done expertly in lightroom and photomatix pro from 5 exposures in the hands of a master craftsman....which reminds me I must pay him
Nice conversion, Bill. I bet Joseph loved it.
Bill Phillips: He did and he loved the farm park at the end of the line too

I hope one of you held Joseph high enough so that he could see what is going on. It was not you, since you were holding the camera.

I like the strong contrasting of the b&w and then the flash of red. Good composition as well.

Yesterday I had some time with the youngest grandchild. Seems an easy chappie.
Bill Phillips: He was fascinated by the whole experience. Pleased the youngest is an easy chap.
just stunning Bill! love the effects...
What tool did you use to accomplish this...
Bill Phillips: This was done in lightroom Ronky. You can adjust all the basic colours and here I desaturated all the colours apart from the reds. You will notice that there are littlebits of red throughout the picture
What a charming looking train, Bill; the selective colouring is impeccable. Lucky Joseph to have this as his first train ride.
Bill Phillips: Done in lightroom by desaturating all the colours apart from the reds so it isn't selective colouring done by masking
I love it Bill! Well done indeed.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Richard
Nice looking train , but why get rid of all the green.
Bill Phillips: I just felt like it and was playing with the sliders in lightroom and I rather liked the result
Looks good with the red popped against the B.& W.. We didn't get here during our most recent Cornwall visit some years ago, but it is good to learn that Granddad is making sure Joseph gets to appreciate the important things from hid early years.
Bill Phillips: He loved the train Brian and the little farm park at the end of the line. A great day out!
