It is a lovely snap, Bill. I won't bother with that HDR nonsense...
Bill Phillips: I amm getting bored with HDR...except for inside churches
I wish you had opened the link in a new page as it is much easier to compare.
Bill Phillips: It refuses to do it when I try to. I cannot get it to work!
Untwiddled works for me, Bill - what a beautiful place!
Bill Phillips: And for me E

I have just looked at the HDR image, thank heaven my sunglasses were to hand otherwise I'd be half blind from the glare!

Slight bit of cheating seeing as they are different compositions, but I cannot understand anyone liking the HDR.

Seems I am not alone - and whats this? You are getting bored with it! Phew!!!

PS If you want me to help with getting a link to open in a new tab let me know.

PPS I like the horses asses! I think the sky in my photo today is known as mare's tails - you have the real thing!
Bill Phillips: Everyone seems to be able to have additional pictures showing (Ray in particular but I can't get it to work at all! The horses are coming up in the future.....preview on flickr!
There are some great HDR pics out there , just not yours. You would be better just buying postcards.
Bill Phillips: I have done some very fine HDR pictures. I thought your pictures were scanned from postcards you had bought

You should have done it Bill, there is still time. I hope people don't imagine that you and I went to Kornwall together!
Bill Phillips: I am sure they don't Ridge. We could have done though. Taken a tent and gone on a motorbike and sidecar

Think I prefer this version, but I like the other HDRs you had Bill
Bill Phillips: Some work some don't. I only really like them for buildings.
Untwiddled works as well Bill! A beautiful capture.
Bill Phillips: It is all a matter of what you like Richard. It would be dead boring if we all took the same pictures grin
1. I quite like this.
2. I much prefer the HDR version, it has a lot more life and punch to it. (That puts me out of line with almost everybody else but so what smile )
3. I like the other images on your Flickr as well.
Bill Phillips: 1. Good
2. That's fine
3. The picture quality on Flickr seems better than on shutter

Both great pictures bill.....did you go on the island ??.... Kath and I went to the chip shop......cod & chips.... Then drove down and sat on the grass and had our food......did you walk UP the steps to the castle.....so step you needed rope lol smile
Bill Phillips: We didn't . We had little Joseph with us so we went into the hotel grounds to see it from there. We had pasties sat on a wall watched by hungry Jackdaws!
Ye gods the HDR pic is miles better than the rubbish you have just put up on FB.
Bill Phillips: You are becoming tedious

HDR = Heavy Droitwich Rain ... My advice is stay away from HDR
Bill Phillips: Hahahaha very good comrade
Great sky, Bill.
I am not a big fan of HDR but I have to confess I prefer your HDR version of this photo. The colours pop and the details are clearer.

With regards to the picture quality on Flickr I think the photos are tweaked on uploading to optimise the quality.
Either version works for me, Bill. Seems like an interesting and magical place to explore.
Did you go down and across the bridge, Bill? Great shot.
Bill Phillips: We didn't, It would have been a bit of a trek with little Joseph. Perhaps when he is a bit older!
