ooch! ouoch! I can almost hear the metal ringing.
Bill Phillips: Not much fun being a lump of metal
I love the feel of motion!
Bill Phillips: Thanks E. I got it right .....more luck than judgement

Oh, you awake childhood memories at a smith where horseshoes were forged - I like this photo very much -a still glowing, hot horseshoe - I myself own two ones as mojos. I agree with Chris and Elizabeth.
Bill Phillips: This chap was making chain Philine. He added this to the chain and closed the loop

I hope that this will not be the weak link. I like the action you've captured; the title suits it well.
Bill Phillips: I could happily choke Anne Robinson with it

I have not seen horse shoes coloured and not black before Bill.
Bill Phillips: This is a chain link ridge and it red because it is hot....hence the expression.....red hot

Good to see this fine action picture, Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Lisl. It is interesting to watch but it must have been gruelling work to do

Looks to small for a horse shoe - chain link perhaps?
Bill Phillips: Chain it is Mike
Excellent shot with the light of the steel and fire perfect and the hand holding the hammer showing the intense movement. Good one!
Bill Phillips: More by chance I got the shutter speed right!
Better him than me, Bill (I've decided not to censor that remartk).
Bill Phillips: As long as it isn't his thumb he thwacks all is well
Another fine capture Bill! intensisy must be high!
Bill Phillips: There is something about basic metal bashing that has a romance about it. The reality was grim!
Superb capture, Bill; a likey for me.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Beverly, delighted you like it

Nice capture of the motion from the Blacksmith's arm Bill as he forms his red hot steel on the edge of the anvil....petersmile
Bill Phillips: It is fascinating to watch Peter
Good follow up to yesterdays image Bill. You can't choke Anne Robinson with it, not if I get there first at least!
Bill Phillips: You like her too then Brian? grin
