Merry.....

No one's hangin' stockin's up

No one's bakin' pie

No one's lookin' up to see

A new star in the sky

No one's talkin' brotherhood

No one's givin' gifts

And no one loves a Christmas tree

On March the twenty-fifth

Christmas and the "festive season" are bad enough in December - but in March the sheer thought of it makes me want to run out of the house SCREAMING!
Bill Phillips: I found the poem in a book of Shel Silverstein poems I have. So I popped into the garden and hung a bauble on the Christmas tree that we have grown in a pot, and have had in the house for the last 3 years. I thought you would enjoy it. Wrong again

Good ditty - are you going to add a decoration each day for the rest of the year in true Chad style?
Bill Phillips: I assure you this is a one off. Any Chad like tendencies are vigorously suppressed at all times

........ erm.... I just saw Chris running by, screaming, I wonder what happened......
This picture and poem made me smile, why not, I have seen stranger things smile
Bill Phillips: I found the poem in a book of Shel Silverstein poems I have. So I popped into the garden and hung a bauble on the Christmas tree that we have grown in a pot, and have had in the house for the last 3 years. This is the explanation I gave Chris. You will be able to see this very tree in May!
Please don't be upset id no one likes your Christmas tree because as Shel says, "no one loves a Christmas tree On March the twenty-fifth."
Bill Phillips: I just saw the poem and as the date was imminent decided to do a quick snap and post it.

Good to see Christmas festivities underway already. I've seen stuff in Asda about start saving for Christmas already, too. When's your Santa's grotto starting; are you going to wait until after Easter?
Bill Phillips: Hot cross buns seem to be on sale all year and Morrisons are selling of loads of special Christmas chocolate bars that have a sell by date in October 2014

Your reply to our Rich comrade is excellent. Imagine being there from Monday to Saturday?
Bill Phillips: The first old lady was 'Lizabeth Porter,
She was the deacon of Dorchester's daughter,
Went there to relieve a slight pressure of water,
And nobody knew she was there.

The second old lady was Abigail Splatter.
She went there 'cause something was definitely the matter.
But when she got there, it was only her bladder,
And nobody knew she was there.
I quite like that verse, and a good idea of yours to put this all together, getting young Joseph ready for next Christmas already I presume.
Bill Phillips: Shel Silverstein is,perhaps, better known for the songs he wrote for Dr Hook back in the 70s of which Sylvia's mother is probably the best known
This is so beautiful Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ronky smile
Your time would be better spent doing something else, like knitting.
Bill Phillips: I will knit a straight jacket for you
Oh Dear, poor little abandoned thing!
Bill Phillips: Pure Pathos Richard
I like it!
