Haven't seen many days like this, this February, Bill. Does the heart good
Bill Phillips: It is sunny this morning but there is more rain on the way. Worcester is looking bad at the moment and the main bridge is closed to traffic, although pedestrians can still use it. We went over it on Saturday night and the water was almost up to the top of the arches

Those swans are 'floating' there so peaceful. I think they are so glad that the rain-century is almost over....
Fabulous shot!
Bill Phillips: Still more on the way Lady P

Even in Droitwich it is possible (just) to find a rain-less moment. A fine composition IMHO
Bill Phillips: It rained later
You can now reach the Somerset Levels by barge.
Bill Phillips: Well you could if you could get under the bridge at Worcester! This flood lark has become very serious. A lot of the problem is governments penny pinching on things that matter but always finding money to go off pretending to be a world power and getting our troops killed in wars that should never have happened.

That may be the biggest swan I have ever seen. I like the intense colour a lot.
Bill Phillips: There was a pair of them and they were rather magnificent

So is the really a canal or is it one of the flooded roads now used by boats? wink It is a splendid scene and looks good in the low winter sun.
Bill Phillips: Hahaha....At the rate things are going it could be! Worcester is looking in big trouble!
When it isn't raining, Bill, and the sun comes out, you certainly get some magnificent blue skies. The swans give the scene an almost summer feel.
Bill Phillips: It was actually quite warm that morning but the rain soon came back! It has been the wettest winter that I can remember
very colourful Bill! beautiful!
Bill Phillips: Narrow boats always make a colourful sight Ronky
This looks to be a very fine spot to visit Bill, although I suspect there is a bit more water about now than there was on the day you took this. I have seen some shots of Worcester today and the river is almost indistinguishable from the surrounding area, and a nearby lock that is totally under the water, oh and the cricket ground is there somewhere. Is Droitwich under any threat of flooding, you do have tha canal there don't you?
Bill Phillips: We are OK at the moment. There are a lot of puddles and the fields are saturated but Worcester has really been having a bad time and there is more to come. The cricket ground and racecourse flood most years but this is really bad and the main bridge has been closed to traffic. Still it is far worse in the South West, particularly in Somerset

Sunny, bright and cheerful with gorgeous colours. Thank you, Bill you've cheered me up.
Bill Phillips: Good because it has been so miserable and now Worcester is flooded so It I thought it would be nice to realise it will end smile

As you say Bill, rare for even non-Droitwichonions.
Bill Phillips: Is a Droitwich onion like a spring onion ?
Very nice,Bill,I was grumbling about the heat yesterday, whilst watching ski-ing and snowboarding. It's a mixed up world.
Bill Phillips: We could have the world's biggest Water Polo contest here. Hope you and E are having a good time. I'm keeping an eye on the pictures so keep posting them
