It's colour Jim but not as we know it

I seem to recall there were some very dodgy colour transparency films about in the 60s and early 70s. I thought I'd try and recreate it....look familiar at all?

Those films were truly terrible and you have replicated that sense of awfulness with this highly appropriate picture
Bill Phillips: I am most gratified that you think I have replicated it well. I recall one called Gevacolor which was truly awful

It's still boring, go back and try again.
Bill Phillips: Having graduated from Red Square to the fashion colour of the early 70s you are hardly in a strong position to pass judgement
Ah, a trip down memory lane, Bill. It's still lovely though.
Bill Phillips: It might become fashionable

Ah.. retro lives. I've seen a top of the range DVD player with valves in it! Mind you, they could be for show. Yes, I have boxes of slides like this.
Bill Phillips: Are things going retro because so much stuff is computer designed and it all looks the same?
Yes there was some pretty awful slide films, one I remember, and used once only, was GAF, and also Dixons had their own slide film call Prinzcolour, I've got some of those as well!
Bill Phillips: Oh yes they ring a bell. didn't Boots do their own as well?
Well done indeed Bill!
Bill Phillips: Cheers Richard
Post-ratiionalisation of the post-processing Bill? smile
Bill Phillips: Haha not honest! I was messing about and it struck me that using lightroom you could manipulate the colours to such a degree that you might get the look of some dreadful old slide film
hmmm not sure Bill, but I love the colours here
Bill Phillips: You are too young to remember the terrible film quality back then Ronky
Come the up rising ,you will be taken out and shot for this.
Bill Phillips: Don't you remember the terrible slide films, and some colour print films of old?
I'm afraid I don't know about the film Bill, but certainly colourful!!
Bill Phillips: you are far too young I am sure
