They are beautiful. The stems are coloured too instead of green which is unusual.

Bill Phillips: No trust me they were blue before I put it in lightroom grin

I like it too Bill; it's a great shot!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Martin
Its a blueus, flowerus,bokeh backgroundi,Bill.
Bill Phillips: I think it might be a member of the Sea Holly family if Beverly is right
I don't know what the flower is either, I do know I like it. The video is one of my favourite pieces and many years ago we came across The Opera Babes performing this in Covent garden before they became famous, it mentions those times in their website here http://www.operababes.com/#!__about
Bill Phillips: I have to confess I have never heard of them grin
Chad got it spot on.
Bill Phillips: So we have two idiots today
I'm not too sure, Bill, but it does resemble the Eryngium Alpinum quite a bit. Perhaps it's in the same family of plants. Your capture is lovely.

Bill Phillips: I think you are right that it is a member of that Family
And I really like it too Bill! Very nicely captured.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Richard
Nice detail Bill
