You just had to post this one, Bill! You caught the moment
Bill Phillips: I did. Andy is very close to his Granddad and Helen thinks the world of him too

Ohhhhhhhh, thank you, Bill. Seeing those tiny hands against Great Grandpa's is like a sweet salute to all the years between them. This will be an image Joseph will cherish forever!
Bill Phillips: He will and so will Helen and Andy. It was a special day!

If I get to be anything near 97 and look so fighting fit I will be very pleased indeed. Wonderful photo.
Bill Phillips: Me too. He is quite frail now but until recently was very active. He still lives at home and Andy's Aunt calls in to look after him.

What a wonderful, heart-warming scene! And how wonderful to have even a great grandfather! (Unfortunately, I didn't have any grandfather.)
Bill Phillips: Nor did I and nor did either Kathryn of Helen so this is very special

Joweph seems just as fascinated. Andy's family members would be delighted with a copy of this, I suspect.
Bill Phillips: It has done the rounds Mary grin

My dad (87) visited us yesterday and I mad a mutton neck pot for the occasion. As it happened, we discussed his 10 great grandchildren, mostly because the oldest, who is now 13 is on her way from the USA where they live. Should land on Christmas day and on Boxing day her granddad (my brother) is doing sheep on the spit. As it is, all of the 10 great grandchildren will attend. Two of them is mine (granddaughters) and a 3rd one is on his/her way somewhere in April 2014. I wonder how many great grandchildren there will be when and if he turns 97.

I will be thinking of you when I lay in my oldest son's swimming pool on Christmas Eve. May it prove to be a good time you will be having then.
Bill Phillips: That will be some Christmas Louis. I only have the one grandchild but I am content grin
It is a wonderful image Bill
Bill Phillips: One for their family Album JC
Both doing well by the looks of it, Bill - the genes are obviously strong!

It's good to see such a wide range of generations. I understand that there is a good chance for 1/3rd of all children born recently to live to be 100.
Bill Phillips: It is going to create a huge problem in the future which, naturally, successive governments will fail to address
wow... a little tear in my eye Bill...cherishing every moment!
Bill Phillips: I had a tear in mine taking this Ronky
I'm so glad you decided to post this wonderful image Bill, 97 and still going strong I hope. We're only sad that mine and Maureen's parents didn't live long enough to see their great grandchildren.
Bill Phillips: I can imagine Brian. I have always been sad that Ange never even met my Dad and our girls never saw either of their grandparents. It is very sad too that Andy's mum isn't here to be a grandmother to Joseph. But that is life and we have to count our blessings, which are many.

Nothing like a child to knit up the generations...
