Now this is an unexpected pleasure. The building dates back to 1533 and was once the Unicorn Inn. The shop fronts are a 19th century addition as are the bargeboards on the gable ends

Wonderful building - Tudor style? - a bit fading due to their age, of course - and the polders are a 20th addition -and the items in the shops inside are a 21th addition as I guess...
Bill Phillips: It dates back to 1533 Philine so dating back to the time of Henry VIII

WOW this is a wonderful building, and seen the age, still in good condition. I would love to have a peek inside.
Bill Phillips: It is interesting that it has survived. I suppose because it was an inn

A fine old building which I remember well from your photograph yesterday Bill. I rather like that faded pink. You were joking about Bromsgrove as it seems a really attractive place.
Bill Phillips: Having three nice buildings doesn't equal attractive

A real miz of styles here. The old building is fabulous, though, and it all mmakes me think that perhaps I should spend next year's summer holiday enjoying the delights of Bromsgrove.
Bill Phillips: Don't waste your money
It's not a pleasure ,it never has been looking at your images.
Bill Phillips: I steel myself to look at yours and even try to be nice. But No more. The gloves are off

Bill Phillips: There are often fine buildings above the eyeline Martin
I was hoping when I saw yesterday's image, Bill, that you would give us a closer look at this charming building. It would be fascinating to read its long history.
Bill Phillips: I am happy to have fulfilled your hope Beverly
It is certainly a fine looking building, much more character than other shops in the street no doubt. Nice bit of music, I haven't heard it for ages, and Ronald Binge was a top guy when I was a youngster.
Bill Phillips: Ronald Binge is a great name
Bill...I have learnt so much about Bromsgrove now!
Bill Phillips: Well that's nice to know Ronky
Yes a very special building which they are proud of in Bromsgrove I expect
Bill Phillips: I wonder if they even really notice it Janet? Familiarity breeds indifference
What a lovely bulding Bill!

Serious old world charm
