Stretching ahead lies the main shopping thoroughfare. I can't help thinking that when a charity shop, in this case the YMCA, has closed down, all is not well

Thrift shops closing is a bad sign, yes.
Bill Phillips: Says it all really
You may be right. I'm seeing some bustling starting up down the road.
Bill Phillips: Really? That must be a dirty mark on the lens

Glass half full, Bill...

It's closing down cause no-one is in need of charity...
Bill Phillips: Would that that were true Ray

I like the prominence you have given to these rubbish bins, Bill

A typical charming mid England town isn't it, you were certainly lucky with the weather
Bill Phillips: It was a nice morning to be somewhere else

It seems a tidy old place Bill, I never expected the main shopping street to have such a clean, warm feel to it. I'm impressed. Trust you to get the bin in, the sort of thing that I would do.
Bill Phillips: Best part of the picture

What a wonderful morning or evening light! I assume it is Sunday and the most people are still sleeping. Bromsgrove appears to be a tidy, clean town.
Bill Phillips: Morning about 8.15 on a Wednesday.
The rubbish skip is as foreground interest was a smart move Bill, I really like the colour of it..I do think we should move here.
Bill Phillips: If you moved here we could have coffee on a Friday when Frank moves to Arizona
It's sad isn't it, Bill when the charity shops close. It looks like a lovely street with Georgian buildings amongst the new. Do you have retail parks near by that take the business away?
Bill Phillips: I think Bromsgrove suffers being very close to Birmingham

I love Lonnie Donegan! I am amazed that you got all these shots with no people about.
Bill Phillips: It was about 8.15 on a Wednesday Morning so not a lot happening
quite sad isn't it
Bill Phillips: It is and is not an unusual sight in many High Streets these days. I suppose Bromsgrove suffers being so close to Birmingham
Very much the standard looking English high street isn't it.
Bill Phillips: I suppose it is Brian

Show down in 'High Noon'
Bill Phillips: Do not forsake me oh my comrade
Not many people around Bill! Quite an intersting perspective with the rubbish bins.
Not sure I like the bin in this capture > but I like the rest of it with such great colours. : )
The YMCA closing is not a good thing Bill... but the shot of the dumpster takes away from the cityscape....petersmile
