Stooges in Cirencester

I spent Thursday in the company of this pair. On our hike we great photographers carried our cameras around Cirencester. This was the only picture I took.

Says it all really

Our Father Christmas groto opens today so I might not be able to comment or reply much  until tomorrow

They have shrunk dramatically...
Bill Phillips: Life size Larry...........you mean you didn't know???
Very well then! I hope the groto goes well! I'll spend a snowy day at our Winterfaire... probably much the same as your groto - except my best friend will be belly dancing at ours... smile
Bill Phillips: I think I would like to swap grottos

Best seen at a distance; you can quickly make an escape then. Are you Father Christmas? If so, can I have an iPad Air, please?
Bill Phillips: I am indeed from 12.45 until 3pm today...what is an ipad air??

Elizabeth's grotto sounds as though it could be fun...
Bill Phillips: Sounds a whole heap better than ours

But as I see you got some lessons in Chaddish photography! But I miss, sorry, I was teacher: das Tüpfelchen auf dem i! Chriiiiis is the right person at the distance? You had to run to reach them like many photographers have to do.
Bill Phillips: Chad on the left and Chris on the right, posing for me

I guess that Chad, taking you on the footbridge over the Cirencester ring road was the highlight of the day.
Bill Phillips: It was indeed. I have travelled under it many many times so to traverse it and look down on the cars and the roundabout was a great thrill

This is a great picture, it sums up the pointlessness of life after retirement perfectly..
Bill Phillips: Last of the summer wine, sadly, comes to mind
Funny....
Bill Phillips: They are Preyi.....very
You need to learn how to make the best of a place, sadly that is beyond you now at your age..
Bill Phillips: This was the best

In response to this outrage I shall not be commenting on your blog anymore until Mondag. I would prefer your groto, no offence to Elizabeth but the thought of watching Frank belly dancing...
Bill Phillips: That's a shame as you will miss seeing my grandson. I hadn't realised it was Frank....live on Skype I guess

It sounds to me that you had a really great time then, talking, eating, laughing and no time for the camera.
Bill Phillips: Basically correct Mary
Ah yes, well highlighted Bill. You seem to be keeping your distance
Bill Phillips: I'm not as daft as I look Janet
Hope the grotto opening went well. These two weren't hanging about in the hope of becoming Santa's little helpers were they?
Bill Phillips: We were quite busy Pauline. It is great fun and the children are very entertaining! I think these two would be a great asset to the grotto. Chris wouldn't even need a false beard!
A picture that brings a big smile to ones face, great idea, no doubt you all enjoyed the day, photos or not. I presume you are a lot smaller Father Christmas this season following your year long crash diet, I hope the costume still fits!
Bill Phillips: I am actually bigger, thus proving that talking about dieting isn't the same as actually doing it
Were you angry with them Bill?
Bill Phillips: Impossible to be angry with these two Richard
You are wise to keep them at a safe distance, Bill.
Bill Phillips: They look better from a distance Tom
sure you had fun...
Bill Phillips: It is always fun with these two Ronky
