Droitwich on a Sunday Afternoon 9

Here we are in Victoria square again. To the left, half a person and Lloyds bank. To the right the library that used to be Salter's Hall. Well it still is I suppose. It was also once a cinema. Ahead is the famous Raven Hotel. The sign on top is a bit of a giveaway

The man on the left must be a Hobbit, as he is a halfling

...and, no sign at all of the omnipresence of The President of The Lions Club...
Bill Phillips: And thank goodness for that.
I'm amazed at how neat and clean everything is.... like no one goes there... smile
Bill Phillips: We have a very good street cleaner who is very thorough
This looks just too neat to be real Bill... and yes i can just make out the sign on the Raven Hotel...
i'm surprised that you didn't clone out the half person....petersmile
Bill Phillips: We have a very conscientious street cleaner Peter

You had to keep your halfling in, Bill
Bill Phillips: It is nothing without him Lisl

I have never read The hobbit Bill so hopefully you will explain that one to me. I see storm clouds gathering.
Bill Phillips: I have and also Lord of the rings. since it has been popularised by the films it seems that the whole series is now sneered at. I loved it and have read both a couple of times. One day I might read them again. Better than War and Peace

Half a bloke is better than no bloke at all.

I would like to think they could turn the Raven Hotel into something useful or posh
Bill Phillips: There are plans for a mixture of shops, offices, accommodation and the original part( which is a listed building,) to be a restaurant. We shall see. I'd like there to be a brine spa there with a bacon buttie factory

What a fine, old English looking town - Lady Sun is here at home enjoying herself!
Bill Phillips: She is here again this morning Philine. Unlike yesterday which was miserable
Well it's your shoe leather and electric.
Bill Phillips: So it is a good job I use both to such good effect

Is every one in the pub after the church sermon.
Bill Phillips: Judging by most church sermons I would venture during
Not a soul in sight.....

Oopps... there one man there...
Bill Phillips: Well half of one grin
I like the cloud composition Bill
Bill Phillips: Thank you Aderonke
The "closed on Sunday part of town" and very pleasant too
Bill Phillips: Not a lot going on Janet
Contrary to all the activity Chris has captured going on in Bath today, Bill, Droitwich seems rather deserted & lonely. Have to admit it is a fine looking place, though.
Bill Phillips: Bath is always busy. We have a number of events during the year but nothing to compare. Bath is a major tourist City
I think this looks a rather delightful area of your fine town Bill, I feel I must walk these hallowed streets one day.
Bill Phillips: It would be a pleasure to welcome you and supermodel Maureen

Looks like an artist's impression; the sort of think that they could do to a town centre if they had a couple of bob to spend.
Bill Phillips: The Raven will change at some stage when it is redeveloped.....for the better it is hard to say
The old and the new buildings compliment each other, Bill. Good to see the sun shining.
Bill Phillips: Contrary to the libel from Chris it does Pauline
Such a clean and neat place Bill! Fine capture.
