Wonderful presentation at the Severn Valley Railway. Love the flowers and these wheels come in handy as a solid bench...

Oh, we can be only in old merry England, although I read that some of the red boxes were sold to continental Europe. Lol at Astrid - very solid and stabile compared wit a certain SC- bench!

Chad might be interested in the brown downpipe
Bill Phillips: He doesn't seem to have the same boyish enthusiasm that he once had for gutteridge and downpipeage

You can NEVER go wrong with those iconic red booths, Bill. Please don't let them ever take them away!
Bill Phillips: I can recall before mobile phones having to use them when I was on the road.....I am not nostalgic for them....for reasons I will leave you to imagine Ginnie grin

What a waste, surely we could re-use this on HS2 and save a bit of that £40bn.

Goes nicely with that other icon of a different age - the public telephone box!
Bill Phillips: For £40bn read £80bn and you will be nearer the reality Mike sad

I bet the British weight lifting team are still wondering where they lost it.
Bill Phillips: Is that why they are sometimes called dumbbells?

Well sort of random Bill.
Bill Phillips: How random do you want it Ridge. Should I have paste in a couple of parakeets perhaps?

Always in awe of these hanging baskets, I have a green thumb but I can never get them looking like this
Bill Phillips: Nor can I. I am saving up to buy one ready done for next year!
A nice little corner with some fine objects to catch the eye, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Beverly. The old red phone box is always photogenic grin

It's lovely to see the old light was a proper bulb in it; not of those awful twisty cold cathode things. Is the axle there to stop people parking their cars there, I wonder?
Bill Phillips: I hadn't thought of that. It would certainly be effective in that role. I don't have a problem with the new light bulbs. But then Im not awake that much when it is dark

Bill Phillips: Thank you Anne smile
I seem to remember seeing this nice little corner when we last visited the SVR.a few years ago.

Railway workers weight lifting equipment, Bill?
Bill Phillips: Haha could be Pauline
I would like in my garden
Bill Phillips: Makes a change from a Bar-b -q
Ideal for passing weight lifters smile
Bill Phillips: Hmm there seems to be an obsession with weightlifters here today. Why would they want to lift a telephone box?
An interesting juxtaposition.
Bill Phillips: You get the feeling they had a phone box and a set of wheels left over and thought they would stick them here as there was room

Hmmm should these cast offs be left on street corners.
Bill Phillips: Yes they should.

The wheels obviously fell off!
Bill Phillips: Perhaps it is a comment on the British Economy
