Severn Valley Railway 3

Some random stuff from a visit to the Severn Valley railway.

Apologies if I don't comment today or reply but I have a problem with my eye and I am going to avoid the computer as much as possible

The English people are polite as your guide said: always sorry, even if somebody has hurt you. Oh, the door might have a long life and not all things went well!
Bill Phillips: It is certainly an old door Philine and one day it might be like new!
If only your shutter would stay closed.
Bill Phillips: If you aren't careful yours will be

It will take some work to get this restored. A sign is not necessary; we can see that the door is closed.

Lovely faded washed out crimson

The blue of the tatty tarpaulin goes well with the carriage colours

The delicate deteriorating body works has some delightful grunginess about it

The impotent rope hangs about with a certain aesthetic appeal

The piece of masking tape top right shows the impatience of the guy putting the posters up.

All in all a masterful observation Billiam and tastefully presented.

Hope the eye issue is not serious
Bill Phillips: Pleased you approve.

Eye condition probably dry eyes, have drops and going to opticians for a thorough check up

Hope nothing is seriously wrong with the eye. Looking at a lot of bad photos can give it quite a scare.
Bill Phillips: Dry eyes the doctor thinks. Age thing probably. Seeing the optician next week for a thorough check . In the meantime have got drops

Arch, yer eye is closed as this door. An easy remedy is to wake up.

Great shot.
Bill Phillips: hahaha, I haven't been fully awake in years
Funny....
Bill Phillips: Isn't itgrin
I wonder if someone will go ahead and try to enter, regardless. Wise to avoid the computer if you have a problem with your eye, Bill.
Bill Phillips: I have been.Saw the doctor today. She thinks it is dry eyes, not uncommon as you get older. Got some drops but am having a full check up at the opticians next week
It is certainly a well aged door. Hope your eye problem sorts itself quite quickly.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Brian. I Saw the doctor today and she thinks it is dry eyes, not uncommon as you get older. Got some drops but am having a full check up at the opticians on Tuesday

Dude?! What's wrong with your eye??? Shoulda asked me... my advice is free...
Always follow the 20/20/20 rule... when reading or on the computer, every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away, for 20 seconds. Forces you to blink, relax the muscles... Be sure to do the drops- it's like being thirsty - when you realize it... you're already in a state of dehydration! Get better!!!
Bill Phillips: Doctor thinks it is dry eyes. Got some drops which help and am seeing the optician tomorrow for a full check up.

Thanks for the tips smile

I wonder why they are "sorry"...perhaps they have a bad conscience about something.
