Welcome to Dawlish 1 of several

Dawlish is a fascinating Regency resort town nestled attractively between steep surrounding hills. The railway sweeps along the entire seafront and beach. Character cottages, impressive villas, narrow streets, bustling shops, famous Black Swans and welcoming tea rooms is just a taste of what Dawlish has to offer.

A range of excellent facilities whatever your needs including schooling, shopping, leisure facilities and transportation links to nearby Exeter and Newton Abbot. Dawlish Warren is one of South Devon’s favourite holiday destinations offering an award winning beach and 500 acre Nature Reserve which includes the Exe Estuary. Dawlish is the perfect place to work, live or visit.

PS it is Ange's birthday today.

I used to take the children here on holidays when they were very young - 3 little boys in an old Mini, with all the luggage on the roof rack, and a pram inside (front seat taken out)!
Bill Phillips: I used to go when I was a kid. particularly in the autumn for the conkers! Later for the beach. I have always rather liked Dawlish

Are you trying to get a job producing tourist brochures Bill? We should pick on a town and have a competition to see who can do the best job.
Bill Phillips: You can do Rotherham, I'll do Broadway
Happy Birthday Ange, Interesting oration on Dawlish Bill!

You made it sound so good, you should move there to avoid the rain. My dad's and brother's birthday is today too.
Bill Phillips: Happy birthday to them. A couple of Librans! It is a nice little town but it rains a lot in Devon
Happy Birthday to Ange - I was wondering if you were in Dawlish today, celebrating smile
Bill Phillips: We were there last Friday. Celebrating at home today.
You've sold me, Bill. I'll pick up my ticket tomorrow, haha. Many happy returns to Ange!
Bill Phillips: Haha it is a nice little town Beverly
Hope Ange has a good birthday Bill, for Maureen it is not such a pleasant day as you will no doubt read on my blog. We had a brief visit to Dawlish on a coach holiday once and found it quite agreeable.
Bill Phillips: She had a long cuddle with little Joseph so I would say she did! Hope all went well for Maureen
Happy Birthday to Ange. I hope you are making it a very memorable one for her.
Are you thinking of moving down to Dawlish?
Bill Phillips: Nope! I like Dawlish and my childhood was spent in South Devon so I have lots of happy memories. But I left in 1967 and I would never move back. Droitwich is very much my home
Dawlish Tourist Board might be interested in this Bill. Happy birthday to Ange
Bill Phillips: There are more to come Janet!
Mappy Birthday to Ange!
It seem to be a pleasant place.
Bill Phillips: It is Richard and hasn't changed much over the years
Happy birthday, Ange.

Looks like the epitome of an English holiday resort. A lovely place to be and very genteel. Love the sky, you always get nice clouds.
Bill Phillips: It has changed very little over the years Pauline
