Wonderful scene Bill! I love the fields of gold but I must say the sky is outstanding smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Frances. It was a good day for skies
Nice use of vignetting...

Cripes, Bill...I feel the need to duck my head under those clouds.
Bill Phillips: Swooping a bit ain't they?
Another grand image- I love the sky and how the clouds seem to have parted...
Bill Phillips: Sort of like the red sea?

Very nice. I like the glimpse of the far distant horizon
Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you
Have you set off walking to Teignmouth then.
Bill Phillips: We will be arriving in my cheap and cheerful Hyundai.

When we were in England, I wondered that the most fields were not harvested yet, but now it might have happened - I like your photo and I can imagine to be walking with you! When does the pub come?
Bill Phillips: Ah there is a slight problem. The approach to the pub picture was so awful even I wouldn't post it....I might have to put it on Mr Pig's site!
whaou ! cette percée dans les nuages, magnifique
Bill Phillips: Merci pour votre commentaire. Je suis heureux de vous comme mon image

Paddy Reilly is a good singer. This picture is the opposite to the famine song.
Bill Phillips: I agree totally with your comment Ridge

I am pleased you are walking so much - this is producing some great pictures
Bill Phillips: One walk Lisl. Only one!
I like the vignette, although I would have probably kept it on the sky
Bill Phillips: Normally I would probably have done so but I did this for a change. Overall I quite like the result. Thanks for the comment Rani. smile
A great time of year to be out in our fine countryside! Love the sky here, Bill smile
Bill Phillips: It is indeed Martin. Not too hot either!

If this is Worcestershire then that must be the stuff they make the sauce from, which I don't know what it is, but it will not be barley.

PS. I added a little Worcester Sauce when I pickled the kudu biltong. Pretty chuffed with the result.
Bill Phillips: The recipe is a secret but it contains anchovies. I am sure kudu biltong would benefit. Almost any meat does.
Magnificent sky, Bill. The field looks as if it goes on forever.
Bill Phillips: It does rather give that impression Beverly

Another fine country shot and great clouds again.
Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you oh great motorbike photographer smile
Wonderful with this depth in the image Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. A nice place for a Saturday Stroll
Wonder and wander, the combine will be out soon.
Bill Phillips: I imagine by now it has been and gone John
What a lovely sky - yesterday and today.

"Fields of Barley" always makes me think of the choirmaster Gareth Malone. he did a lot with the song to motivate a bunch of schoolkids who had little self esteem at first.
Bill Phillips: Was this something on television?
