I think this is barley, but no doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong

Stunning shot Bill! As soon as I saw this capture I thought of the Sting song smile The sky is a work of art.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Frances. I was rather pleased with the skysmile

Looks a bit like barley, Gramps, but could be a species of hairy wheat.
Bill Phillips: Hairy wheat gets my vote
I don't know, but the view is gorgeous - you did a beautiful job with that sky- and this is one of my very favorite Sting songs!
Bill Phillips: It is one of his better efforts grin

Barley ...and with those scudding clouds it must be 'blowing in the wind'
Bill Phillips: Well, Shakespeare, he's in the alley
With his pointed shoes and his bells.
Speaking to a French girl,
Who says she knows me well.
And I would send a message
To find out if she's talked,
Post the post office has been stolen
And the mail box is locked.
Oh Mama
Can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile
With the Memphis blues again

Golly!
Bill Phillips: Are you allowed to say that?
This shot is just missing a beach and a pier, I will put that right on the 20th September.
Bill Phillips: I can hardly wait. Are you flying down in a Dakota?

I thought the sky in England would always be changing - I hope the fields in England have been now all harvested - barley- yes, you might be right!
Bill Phillips: I imagine they have Philine. Everyone seems to think it is Barley

Lots of depth in this shot due to that gorgeous sky.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mary I'm pleased you think so.
Nicely done,Bill, thank god you didn't put the Eva Cassidy version up.
Bill Phillips: I know it is all very sad about her dying but I can't stand her record!
j'ai l'impression de voir bouger les nuages. Très belle photo
Bill Phillips: Je vous remercie pour votre aimable commentaire

I think you will find that this is barley Bill.
Bill Phillips: Tiff says it is and that is good enough for me.
It looks like barley to me Bill. What a fabulous sky!
Bill Phillips: Seems to be the consensus Richard
I like the rather agitated look of the sky over the tranquil barley field Bill. Nice composition
Bill Phillips: I like the idea of an agitated sky Janet
Another fine sky to go with this lovely pre harvest shot of the filed.
Bill Phillips: Most kind!
Barley tends to have the long ears. I love this sort of landscape.
Bill Phillips: So do some species of rabbit
No by broomstick.
Bill Phillips: I should have known
PS, if you HDR Teignmouth I will never speak to you again.I have had a word with the town council and they are prepared to let you into Teignmouth just for the day.
Bill Phillips: You shouldn't say things like that. It is just asking for me to do exactly that. I can't do Armageddon because you have already done it. If I do choccie box you will whinge. I could do b&w I suppose....but you will say it is too dark. Sod it I'll take a video!

Thanks for the Fields of Gold, Bill. I sang an arrangement of it with a choir recently.
Bill Phillips: I am not a big fan of Sting but I quite like this song. I would think it is a good song for a choir
