A Walk in the worcestershire Countryside 1

A gentle 4 mile stroll with some of my friends in our Lions club. Followed by an excellent lunch at the pub...undoing all the benefits of the walk.

As the main benefit of the 4 mile stroll was probably the bonding and camaraderie, Bill, I presume you are saying you all got into a terrible argument at the pub, and flung food and drinks at each others heads...

BTW...lovely disappearing 3 strand power line.
Bill Phillips: Um no I was thinking calories

Wonderful shot Bill! I love the sky and all the cloud action smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Frances. 5 picture HDR
I really like the clouds and that patch of blue!
The benefits of the walk were that you COULD enjoy an excellent lunch! smile2
Bill Phillips: Not going for a walk has never stopped me having a good lunch

But isn't that why we go on walks, Bill??? grin
Bill Phillips: Well partly, but the main reason I walk anywhere is to take pictures, or I probably wouldn't bother grin

You were very brave to take a walk at all under such stormy skies, Bill
Bill Phillips: Ah yes now the thing is....poetic licence....

There aren't many members in your club Bill. A good lunch is worth all sorts of pain.
Bill Phillips: 8 of us went on the walk and another 8 joined us at the pub for lunch. You are right about a good lunch
Gosh, what an impressive landscape Bill!
Bill Phillips: Worcestershire is a largely undiscovered gem Richard

Great sky lucky it wasn't Friday otherwise it would have rained ruining the walk.
Bill Phillips: It was a perfect day. Not too hot for the walk and then it turned into a glorious afternoon.
love the way the power lines and clouds draw you into the horizon. I always thought the idea of a walk was to go to the pub afterwards, can't see how it could be any other way.
Bill Phillips: You are, of course, correct Pauline. I am not a great walker but if I have a camera in my hand I am happy to give it a go

The sky seems a bit angry to see you walking.
Bill Phillips: Probably shock Mary

The silly sods haven't even got their plastic macs on for the imminent thunderstorm. but then maybe this is actually a smoke and mirrors trick. Pub lunches are high on any agenda that I'm involved with.
Bill Phillips: Most of my pictures are fakes
Wow, those clouds look so low you could almost reach up and touch them. I would say that you and your friends picked the best way in which to follow up a 4 mile stroll, Bill.
Bill Phillips: The beer battered cod was very tasty Beverly

Friendship is also a benefit of a long walk. Hope you kept that part intact while in the pub.

Congratulations and hours of happiness with second generation.
Bill Phillips: They were all good friends of ours

Thank you Louis. We are very excited and still haven't quite come back to earth
A very fine shot, lovely countryside and the thought of lunch at a country pub, one of the benefits of being retired.
Bill Phillips: Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning Brian
Fantastic photo, amazing skysmile Greetings
Bill Phillips: Greetings to you too and thank you for the kind words
this colours are fantastic
Bill Phillips: Thank you. I had a look at your website. You have some great pictures
Not as bad as KFC, perhaps?
Bill Phillips: What a horrible thought to follow a nice stroll in the country grin
