Droitwich on a Sunday Morning 8

We took Helen to the hospital yesterday. the baby is on its' way 6 weeks early. We are going back early in the morning picking Andy up on the way (he doesn't drive)

This is Gurney's Lane and the mighty emporium on the left is a Waitrose supermarket. Generally well regarded as a provider of good quality products. In the distance the green domed object is one of the last brine pumping stations which operated from 1850 to 1921 and pumped brine up from some 270feet (82meters) below ground

From this distance, Bill, it looks like a green phallus.

I trust all goes well with the family.

'Waitrose' is a well known name to me - sometimes we had a break in those supermarkets nr. the motorways ... Droitwich seems to be a very clean and tidy town!

My best wishes for your family - I 'm sure Helen is in a very good hospital.

I hope the arrival of the baby goes well ...

I suppose the unused trolleys mean that the queue is round the corner for the soup kitchen and the food banks

Ray's vivid imagination never fails to tickle the funny bone. Hope for the safe arrival of your first grandchild, Bill. I'm sure you've already signed up to be first in line for diaper duty.

I have just had an email from Philine to tell me about the new arrival, Bill. Congratulations to your family
Bill Phillips: Thanks Lisl. We are on cloud 9 and I am busy emailing people to tell them! So you can take this reply as your email grin We will be seeing him tomorrow so hopefully I can take some pictures. We only have the one that the midwife took with Helen's phone!
Good to see they having shopping trolleys ideally designed to sit youngsters in while Nanny does the shopping smile
Bill Phillips: Haha indeed so Brian
These are good news Bill. Pleased pass on my congratulations to Helen and family!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. We will be going to see him this afternoon
You're getting really good at these virtual reality shots!
Bill Phillips: All painted on glass Tom.
Nice image....

Congrats Grampa!!! Tiny little thing... 6 weeks is early - are his lungs alright?
Bill Phillips: Thanks E. He is in an incubator but breathing unaided. Apparently they sometimes forget to breathe at first but a poke with a sharp stick gets them going again grin We are going to see him this afternoon and we can't wait!
