"...cliff edge can give way..."

kind of nice to know that Mr Edge is capable of compromise and perhaps even concession from time to time.

The three codgers look like their toes are involuntarily digging in, Bill...perhaps that is far enough.
Bill Phillips: They were standing there looking lost. Sad really

Is this the end of the world?? Did you had a test of bravery before you could enter Trimland Photo Course?
Wonderful shot, I wonder if Cliff Edge is related to Cliff Richard.
Bill Phillips: Whatever happened to Cliff Richard? He was quite popular in the early 60s
Three brave souls... or was that three fools Bill... and the wind is blowing in their faces....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Half soaked basically Peter

I didn't see that sign when we were there!
Bill Phillips: I don't think any of us did. I noticed the back and wandered off to see what it said........

This was Bill's cunning plan.
He stood in front of the sign and said why don't you guys go and look at the sea.

Suffolk County Council is also in gold medal position for giving mis-information.

The fact is, that two thousand years ago, in the times of the Roman control of England, that the coastline was actually a mile and a quarter further out to sea.
Bill Phillips: So in Roman times the cliff used to give a warning before it gave way?

Oh, we are not in Chad's NZ , yes, we are in England, and I recall the cliff paths along the coast - what a view, wonderful clouds! -but you are in DANGER, dear Bill - sadly, we cannot see Chad's unique cap in a closer way!
Bill Phillips: I was OK as I was on the right side of the sign. I will have to see if I have a close up of the hat
The excitement is too much for me , I need a coffee and a fag.
Bill Phillips: Don't you dare have a fag
They won't get closer to the cliff Bill...
Bill Phillips: Despite my best efforts Richard

Were you directing them to just step back a bit further?
Bill Phillips: I tried and tried but they didn't seem to understand Aussie
You had the wind helping to push them back too. What a gorgeous sky!!
Bill Phillips: We had some wonderful skies but it was cold!
my god, they just look like German spies trying to find their submarine for an exit to Calais..
Bill Phillips: They aren't competent enough to be that
How come Chad is the tallest of the three, but it is Richard that throws the longest shadow?
Bill Phillips: They are English.....

That is all the explanation I am able to give Beverly
Just at the last, they noticed your manic look of glee! grin
Bill Phillips: Yes Dammit!!

One heck of a fantasy flight by Ray. I nearly laughed myself out of misery smile

I have seen plenty of these signs in Ireland and loved them It meant I can decide myself how close and what to include in my picture.

As to the 3 codgerships - they are likeable in spite of their bearing. Don't send them back too far, ok? A great weekend.
Bill Phillips: You could not wish for finer companions (or so they tell me)

Ray is always good for the mood
Shame those old geezers got in the way of that sky, Bill, where was there carer?
Bill Phillips: Luckily I got loads of skies so didn't mind wasting one on them. I have just noticed that Mr Pig's picture is currently ahead of Shaw's in the rankings. Hehehehehehehe
Perhaps they are going for an attempted 2013 Darwin award? Makes a rather neat shot as well.
Bill Phillips: THey would be strong contenders
