Great title with a great picture.
Love the shadows and the smile on the face.
That is a golden oldie...the song... wink
Bill Phillips: I think that is more of a grimace grin I have always liked this song!
Great shot! I've not seen anything quite like that!
Love this song.
Bill Phillips: This is in St Andrew's Church in Droitwich and possibly dates back to the 13th century. Parts of the Church are 12th century. St Richard who went on to be Bishop of Chichester was born in Droitwich in 1197 and was almost certainly baptised here as his birthplace was just up the road in what is now the Raven Hotel
Well done, all round, Billiam.
Bill Phillips: Thanks comrade Elite

Where is this? It looks interesting, medieval I suspect
Bill Phillips: It is St Andrew's Church in Droiters. We went in with Lis and Michael. There is another one on the opposite wall which is, I believe, Henry III
The fellow is losing his chin but still has a smile. My kind of person.
Bill Phillips: His arms must be aching after all these years

Elbows worn to the bone...wot a bloke!
Bill Phillips: A stoic if ever I saw one
What a fine old sculpture, it has a built in hint of humour to it as well.
Bill Phillips: I bet he wasn't laughing as he posed for this Brian

You and I are on the same wavelength today, Bill - I was going to put this chap on as my wallpaper today, and decided on a sculpted lion instead
Bill Phillips: It was funny that all the times I have been in that church I hadn't noticed this until we went with Michael and you
Is he competing with Atlas Bill?
Bill Phillips: Is that Charles Atlas you are talking about? I'll not let anyone kick sand in your face!
I like his smile...
Bill Phillips: I am not sure what he has to smile about though!

I liked this by the Hollies. The stone figure is good, too.
Bill Phillips: I bought the single!
That's a clever trick!
Bill Phillips: I couldn't do it

Bill Phillips: He is holding up the building! I hope you enjoy shutterchance. They are a very friendly lot and love comments from other shutterchancers smile
"Someone, please..I've had an itch on my nose since 1570"
Bill Phillips: Hahahahahaha
Went out with a girl whose dad made suits for the Hollies.
Bill Phillips: Well I never! I saw Alan Clarke wandering along the High Street in Northampton some years ago.
Perfect song selection to accompany this marvelous image, Bill.
