photoblog image Our Helen

Our Helen

I have been sworn to secrecy for some weeks but now I am finally allowed to reveal that our Helen is expecting. She had the scan yesterday and discovered she was further on than she thought and the baby is due on October 3rd. We are way behind Chad in the grandchildren stakes as he has 13 and this will be our first. We are just so very excited and delighted.

Bill...granpa-to-be...this is good!

Chinese Buddhists believe touching Buddha's belly button will bring good luck/health/fortune...your helen seems to have the right idea, Bill.
Bill Phillips: She is quite superstitious Ray so the belly rubbing was an opportunity not to be missed
Wonderful image of Helen! Congratulations to you all - wishing her an easy pregnancy and delivery and a healthy child. Elizabeth is a lovely name too... smile
Bill Phillips: Elizabeth is Helen's middle name so I can only agreegrin
Wonderful to meet your beautiful daughter Bill... Helen rubbing Buddha's belly will bring her luck...

Bill Phillips: Thanks Peter. Helen is quite superstitious and was very pleased to rub the Buddha's belly for luck smile

What a fabulous image for your announcement, Bill! I couldn't be happier for you and Ange. G'pa and G'ma. You'll love hearing that forever now. And don't you worry...I still have only one grandchild and don't yet have to share him with any others. I can spoil him to death (he'll become a teenager in July!). smile

CONGRATULATIONS.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ginnie. 2013 looks like being quite a year!

I can only repeat: I can imagine how happy Helen and her husband are while waiting for their first child - and Oma and Opa are as happy as them. My best, best wishes for her and for you!
Bill Phillips: Thank you dear Philine. They are very happy as are we.

Congratulations to all. Both mother to be and dad look very pleased with themselves. I'm sure you will hopelessly spoil your grandchild. Chad has THIRTEEN grandchildren? No wonder he has taken himself off into the wilderness.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Alan. I would never remember the names if I had 13!
Congratulations all round,Bill! A great portrait smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Martin. I still can't quite believe it
