Bewdley 1 of 1

Welcome to Bewdley - described as the most perfect small Georgian town in Worcestershire. Located on the River Severn, its name says it all - from the French words Beau Lieu - beautiful place.

Bewdley is a popular town with both visitors and its residents. Within the town there is a lot to see including its river walks, museum, churches, beautiful gardens, not to mention well over 20 pubs, take aways and restaurants.

Bewdley has major events running throughout the year, ranging from Spring and Harvest Fairs through to its regattas and annual Bewdley Festival. But there is a lot more than the town to see. Bewdley is the ideal location to stay and visit:

magnificent sky reminds me of the opening scenes in some old westerns
Bill Phillips: Just need Gary Cooper to appear in the distance
Are you now employed as a Bewdley booster?
Bill Phillips: Well I am always open to offers Mary
You could of done the sky a lot moodier than this.
Bill Phillips: True but I decided to be a little more subtle....stop laughing
Small place, big sky then? obviously not apocalyptic enough for Michael. smile
Bill Phillips: No pleasing some people

Good work as an ambassador for Bewdley, Bill - even if you did copy the material. You could have included a view of the town, too. Oh... you have... its that mark near the bottom of the image smile We have a Beaulieu in the new Forest; never knew if meant "beautiful place".
Bill Phillips: Nor did I about either place Alan. I thought the proportion of town to sky was about right
Great sky and music Bill! I imagine the fishing is good too smile
Bill Phillips: I haven't got a clue about the fishing Martin
A fine dramatic sky you've capture there Bill.
Bill Phillips: Cheers Fred!

This is, sadly, very good Bill. I would have liked a touch more at the foot of the snap, but you must have seen something not to be included. The sky is great - my compliments to Mr Evans.
Bill Phillips: Actually it was the bl**dy bridge!

Does Bewdley also rent sky from the shed? They bought a great one on this day.

I see the Pig also blogged after a long absence and immediately the Tiff must come up with a bangers and bacon picture.
Bill Phillips: I did note the timing from my namesake. Another from the Pig on Monday.
Fabulous sky shot Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Janet
Wonderful skyscape, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Tom
Very good image ... I just feel you sliced a bit too much of the River Seven off.
Bill Phillips: Out of necessity sadly
I like the music. Bewdley looks nice, too.
Bill Phillips: I do too. Bewdley is a nice little town

Lovely big sky bill, what lens did you use?
Bill Phillips: It is a Sigma 10-20 Zoom Sarah. It gives a very wide angle (In 35mm camera terms 15-30mm ) The link tells you more about it
