Severn Valley Railway Kidderminster Station 4

Nope, nothing going on here either

There is no significance in the music. It is just one of my favourite Everly Brothers songs

Great view of an English railway station with brilliant sky.
Bill Phillips: The traditional station of my childhood Frances

The empty Departures blackboard is an omen, Bill...
Bill Phillips: Time to start singing Going Nowhere (if you are a Neil Sedaka fan)
There is a lot going on there Bill... there is a bloke with a camera capturing all of these great long shadows of the gates to the platforms....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Well yes but not much else.
I love the shadows!
Bill Phillips: I have never thought of you as shadowy Elizabeth
Ah Billiam! ... A fine action picture of the train NOT standing at Platform 2 and not about to arrive either.
Bill Phillips: I am not really into action as you may have noticed

I love the shadows! And what a beautiful sky promising finally springtime! Wonderful music (oh, if I could understand the text- I have to listen some times!)!

I have a sneaking suspicion that since our visit north to Worcestersauceland both you & your camera have lain dormant...
Bill Phillips: More or less. Been too busy listing stuff on Amazon and doing Lions and Acorns stuff.

I love those old metal sliding things that could remove a misplaced finger with ease. Can't we have a little of that danger back in our lives Bill?
Bill Phillips: Indeed. A bit more danger would stop all this wandering around with headphones on staring at a 3 inch phone screen
The shadows are the picture Bill.
Bill Phillips: They were why I took it Mick.
Shadows and patterns are striking. What the heck did you do to all the people?
Bill Phillips: The place was more r less closed. The station only operates for the Severn Valley railway which is a preserved line. In Early March no trains run during the week. I was there with Ange a few days earlier to celebrate the 70th birthday of a good friend of mine. We went on the train to Bridgnorth and had Sunday Lunch. Great fun and lots of people!!

Thank you very much for theu text - a really wonderful music and text - I think I should buy a CD with the Everly Brothers songs - for relaxing time ...
Bill Phillips: I have a double CD of all their hits. I still enjoy listening to them
It's the shadows again Bill that make the photo.
Bill Phillips: It is indeed Pauline
How civilised, an arrival or departure made special smile Nice shot.
Bill Phillips: It is civilised isn't it compared with the modern station
Nice patterns and shadows in those gates Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Brian. I love the gates
Those gates are almost identical to the ones I remember on the old elevators I used to ride in department stores when I was a youngster, Bill. I agree with Brian; they really do make a lovely shadow pattern in this shot. Nicely done!
Bill Phillips: They are similar, they were double on elevators (or lifts) as I recall
I have to admit that stations (or trains) aren't really my kind of thing, but some interesting shadows and a super sky smile
Bill Phillips: Well that's fair enough Sarah. I have always liked railways but I am not a die hard fanaticgrin
Lovely light/shadow play Bill!
Bill Phillips: It couldn't have been better for me!
very nice Bill, Steam age skies...
Bill Phillips: In the days when the sun shone and everything was endless holidays and apple pie
Looks as though they aren't too keen on business!
Bill Phillips: Too early in the year. Only open at weekends
Great gate grate.
Bill Phillips: Oh very good Graemegrin
