Looks like you blokes had the place to yourselves, Bill.

Nice shadow, BTW.
Bill Phillips: More or less. This early in the year there are no trains running on weekdays
excellent composition. i like the criss cross all over the image in b/w
Bill Phillips: The shadows were what appealed to me Ayush

A treat for Chris, then, Bill. You look after your freinds
Bill Phillips: He enjoyed seeing it. We also went to Bewdley for a bit of a wander about

Not a lot going on in terms of trains running about certainly, but it was a joy to see how this place has been constructed from nothing using aught but volunteer labour and reconstructed artefacts from other sites.

Your picture is great
Bill Phillips: It is a fine effort and does not look fake at all. I a pleased you like the picture

Looks like there was a train strike,I like the B/W
Bill Phillips: The railway only runs at weekends this early in the year. I imagine it will be busy over Easter

an interesting old station - Chris's heart might have jumped up to the ceiling! - and a great b&w photograph! But where are the travellers -and even the shops are closed - on Sundaymorning?
Bill Phillips: He enjoyed it very much Philine. This was on a Thursday and the Severn Valley railway doesn't run trains in the week this early in the season.

Black and white suits this picture Bill, but I do miss your ridiculous twiddled colourful images. Great shadows from the roofage.
Bill Phillips: They will return
It's really atmospheric Bill. The shadows are brilliant.
Bill Phillips: The shadows came out really well PAuline and I was pleased with the result
I watched a train programme that showed Liverpool's Lime Street station ...the ironwork canopy was huge and amazing ...and yet Kidderminster's smaller station has some qualities which are different and yet probably equal the big boy.
Bill Phillips: It took a number of years to complete this station which was built from scratch. It is a fine effort
The black and white works so well here with all the lines and shadows.
Bill Phillips: It had to be b&w Mary.
Nice shadow play,Bill.
Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you Frank

Nice B&W not very busy for the size
Bill Phillips: The Severn valley railway is a preservation line and in early March isn't operating during the week. So we more or less had the station to ourselves
I will have to agree with Frank Bill.
Bill Phillips: Well that's allowed

Excellent picture of a station on strike.
Bill Phillips: Haha Not on strike. This is the Severn Valley Railway which is a preserved line and doesn't run trains mid week during March. However, if you wanted to see a railway station on strike it would look a lot like this grin
With this marvelous B&W, Bill, you've given us a good feel of the station when there are no trains running. I imagine when they are back in action the scene will be entirely different. Nice to see W.H. Smith & Son on the premises.
Bill Phillips: It will be packed Beverly. This is how I remember railway stations from my childhood as this is a Great western Railway style station. Built from scratch by the SVR and only completed a few years ago
Great image indeed Bill
Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you sirsmile
I can but agree with Chris about the station and its construction, I was very impressed when Maureen and I went there. Those shadows over an empty concourse were a real gift for a photographer.
Bill Phillips: It is a brilliant effort and looks as if it has been there for a hundred years!

Interesting shadows and shot, but it does not look like a good venue for the Big Issue smile
Bill Phillips: Not in early March. mind you the other Kidderminster station is only 50 yards away

I like the shadows very much. Good to see WH Smith & Son at its roots.
Bill Phillips: They were part of our childhood. On most stations!
Lovely atmospheric shot with this light/shadow play Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. It was the perfect light for this picture
This is superbly composed Bill, love the way the shadow totally dominates, yet plenty to entertain the eye elsewhere.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Fred. Much appreciated
Beautifully done, Bill. One of your best.
Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you young sir
I really LOVE the shadows! Nicely done in B&W
Bill Phillips: Worked well in b&w I thought so i'm pleased you agree
Nobody travelling today... but it's a great shot Bill....petersmile
Bill Phillips: It was a rare opportunity to photograph the station when it was empty
