A GWR locomotive (right hand drive) no side windows (probably a Churchward design) nice fire (good for cooking bacon/sausages on the shovel)
Bill Phillips: Class 4500 Prarie tank no 4566.

I do like the mix of orange and green in your photo Bill.
Bill Phillips: I'm obliged to you Ridge
You have come up with a decent picture for once , what's come over you.
Bill Phillips: I like to bung in the odd one that you might actually like. I gave this one a 52% chance of achieving that
I would play the quills, Bill
Bill Phillips: I don't have a clue what you mean Juan Carlos grin

Drivers and coal men don't sit. No seat required. They are footplate workers.
Bill Phillips: On the GWR the driver got a seat

This is where I would like to be right now! Perhaps I can warm my hands on your fine photo!
Bill Phillips: When Spring comes early it is climate change, when it comes late it is climate change. Apparently under climate change we will also get extreme heatwaves.....Haven't noticed any of those yet

Just right for a weekend that we've just had. This reminds of the time before we had central heating; too warm at the front yet an icy wind up your backside smile
Bill Phillips: The warmest room in our house was the kitchen which had a coke boiler that heated the hot water and the kitchen! We spent a lot of time in there. 'ang on i'm starting to sound like Ridge Gutteridge

Bill Phillips: I'm getting s feeling of deja vu
Were you panting with the heat when you painted this, Billiam
Bill Phillips: What nonsense you do espouse on occasions comrade Trim
They must have suffered during the summer months, Bill, but welcomed being in the hot seat during the deep freeze.
Bill Phillips: Yes definitely a job for the winter Beverly
A fine shot Bill, more of a warm seat for the driver and a hot standing area for the fireman.
Bill Phillips: The fireman had a hard job Brian
A great shot Bill, just the ticket for a day like today!
Bill Phillips: At least the sun has come out here today. Mind you it is still very cold!!
A nice shot, Bill.
Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you sir
A great red glow...
Bill Phillips: You have been looking!!
Fine shot Bill... i like your angle... you had to bend down for this one... warmed up your face a bit....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Au contraire Peter. I was on the platform and looking up!
The pervasive glow certainly suggests a temperature Bill.
Bill Phillips: It was the warmest place to be by a mile Fred!
A wonderful glow in this great atmosphere Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Richard. The day was bitterly cold and this looked very inviting
Great shot, Bill!
Bill Phillips: I'm obliged to you Tom smile
