Planting Trees

A local School planted over 100 saplings supplied by our Lions Club as part of a campaign to plant trees all over the country. I can't show the children at work but here are their trowels.

 

I wiil be out most of today celebrating a friend's 70th birthday. This involves having Sunday lunch on the Severn Valley Railway. Also have had internet connection problems hence the relative lack of comments yesterday. The line keeps dropping out! very irritating!

I'm glad that you didn't show the kids Bill... but i love your alternative... it's great to see them taking care of our Earth for us...
i've been having PC and Internet problems for a week now.... but it is getting better...

Bill Phillips: Since I had fibre optic it has been flying but yesterday it just kept going down. Seems to be Ok now.....I think!

Blimey that's a relief - I thought for one terrible moment that you had taken up gardening with zeal & vigour! I hope you have a good day on the SVR today AND TAKE SOME GOOD PICTURES!
Bill Phillips: I'm taking the camera but I suspect most of the pictures will be snaps of the occasion!

We had a great day the weather was awful but the food and the company was good smile

Planting trees is a wonderful thing.

Eerrr...why can't you show the kids, Bill!
Bill Phillips: It was at a school and you have to be so careful these days in case parents go off on one. I have given a whole DVD of pictures to the school. They can do with them what they wish.
They've obviously done some work!
Bill Phillips: They had a great time and did a good job.
I like hearing of children doing this sort of thing as School, one hopes it gives them some early feeling of community spirit. Hope you enjoyed the SVR. We have Virgin media 60mB.broadband but sometimes it starts to crawl, they do this "throttling" thing every so often.
Bill Phillips: It just kept hanging and then dropping out. Seems to be fine now. I suspect there was some problem at Plusnet
I bet the kids enjoyed planting trees Bill!
Bill Phillips: They had a great time but also did a very thorough job. I took a lot of pictures which I have given to the school

Your day out sounds like a splendid way to celebrate a 70th. A shame that in this mad world we can no longer show children in case we are classified as Jimmy Saviles or Roman Catholic Cardinals - allegedly.
