What did the youthful William get up to in that copse, Bill?
Bill Phillips: When I was young I did my getting up to in Devon Ray. However, many young folk from the Black country lost their innocence up here in times past grin
This is beautiful Bill!
Bill Phillips: I agree Elizabeth. I am very fond of the Clent Hills

That copse reminds me of a painting by Caspar David Friedrich - and sometimes I saw such isolated woods in England - a threatening sky - no persons can be seen, they might have looked for shelter and some lunch or afternoon tea in the world-famous bacon butties bistro!
Bill Phillips: If you look very carefully there is a person sitting on a bench on the right

Can't wait for the bacon butties in April, Bill
Bill Phillips: Worth the wait Lisl smile
Did you lead me down this path or did we stay on the straight and narrow route to the buttie stall.
Bill Phillips: This is beyond the buttie stall Richard. This is where you go to either work up an appetite or walk the buttie off!
Looks like a beautiful place Bill. Pine trees always look as thought they have been sculpted, such lovely forms to them.
Bill Phillips: It is Pauline and is also home to the finest bacon buttie in the land smile

I saw this wonderful photograph on your fb page. A superb composition and lovely rich colour.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mike. I have had it lying around for ages and then decided to crop it! Made all the difference grin
The hills are probably missing you too.
Bill Phillips: I have a couple of visits planned in the near future Mary. It has been too long since I last went

How could I ever forget trudging up here in the rain Bill. Interesting colour sky.
Bill Phillips: Perhaps next time the sun will shine Ridge.....but don't hold your breath if Rainmaker Tiffo is there
You could take Trimbo with you and stay up there and contemplate the meaning of life.
Bill Phillips: Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I still remember our visit to the Clent Hills with you, it is such a lovely place to visit. I have an A/V.I have shown a few times locally of Clent, I will put it on YouTube now I have a presence there.
Bill Phillips: Good idea Brian. Let me know when you have and I will have a look at it.
Great walking country Bill
Bill Phillips: It certainly is Janet. And right next to The West Midlands conurbation!

This looks a lovely place - I will now go and Google to find out just where it is smile
Bill Phillips: It overlooks the Black Country and Birmingham. Simon at the Cafe makes great Bacon Butties!
Looks like a good memory, wonderful today in my part of the world
Bill Phillips: It has been glorious here today too. I actually managed to get out with the camera and take some pictures!!
A wonderful perspective Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard, pleased you like it
Nice landscape, Bill - that's a lovely dark cloud in the top right.
Bill Phillips: And I don't think it actually rained from it!
A great composition Bill... i like the stand of trees off to the side showing the trail up to the hills....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Peter. Not quite on the scale of the Rockies but it is a place I am very fond of!
