This nice bit of leafy forest glade is about 100 yards from the M5. So it isn't as quiet as it looks Yell

Looks like a good spot for a picnic, Bill...close to the road is good, cos then you don't bust a gut carrying the ice-box.

Beautiful light and love the long shadows.
The pictures shown with the YouTube are beautiful and the song brings back lots of memory...
I assume the forest is a little bigger than we see here, a nice place to wander away from the M5
Bill Phillips: Not a lot actually Lady P
I really love this - the light is terrific!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Elizabeth. Pleased you like it

and -it's a pity - slowly fading -sadly, I cannot see the video about the Black Forest in Gemrany!
Bill Phillips: It is a nice video too!

So even Droytvitch has got a a small organic natural nugget
Bill Phillips: We have a lot of green spaces Mr Trim
This would be a pleasant place for a Saturday morning stroll Bill!
Bill Phillips: I would be quite a short stroll Richard smile

I think it is fair to say that not everything in life is as it first appears to be

Maybe not peaceful, but still a welcome respite from the brutal concrete.
Bill Phillips: It is Mike. Mind you in most places you don't have to travel far to escape the urban ugliness!

It looks like a delightful place for a walk, Bill, even if you might need earplugs!
Bill Phillips: Not actually as noisy as you might think as the M5 is elevated so you are below it and the sound is not so bad.

A good spot for nooky (detour from the highway) or a picnic (detour from Droitwich) - and then there could be meetings involving picnic baskets on the backseat.
Bill Phillips: You have it all nicely worked out Louis

I had forgotten all about that song, Bill - how nice of you to remind me - I always rather liked it
Bill Phillips: It is a catchy little tune
Good to see it flourishing alongside modern life Bill
Bill Phillips: It would be awful without it Janet
Nice photo. Even if it is a bit noisy it must be good to have your Droitwich green lung.
Bill Phillips: Indeed. The motorway isn't too bad where we are, barely hear it most of the time.

I can't hear the traffic Bill.
Bill Phillips: Sigh
You'd never believe it was so near the M5. It looks like the perfect country scene.
Bill Phillips: As they say. Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see
WE have a similar footpath not far from us right next to the M1, it is still a popular place to walk.
Bill Phillips: We barely notice the M5 most of the time. After all it has been here all the 35 years we have!!

Imagine what it would have been like, though, before the M5 cut through. My favourite conker wood was decimated by the building of the M27.
Bill Phillips: I have spent many a happy hour on the M27........
Looks a pleasant spot Bill smile
Bill Phillips: I suppose it is Martin
If only you and that French bloke would take a long walk in the woods and not come back., SC would be a better place.
Bill Phillips: And this from the man who bombards us with miserable looking northerners eating junk food and pictures of Teignmouth bloody pier.

Looks like a lovely walk
Bill Phillips: It would be quite a short one Aussie
Looks very inviting all the same Bill.
Bill Phillips: It does Fred. Actually it wasn't too noisy
Shame about the motorway. The colours in this are very pleasing.
Bill Phillips: They are a fact of life. They were supposed to be resurfacing it with a quieter material but that went out of the window with all the cuts

Very pretty to look at even with noise, it beats looking at all the traffic smile
Bill Phillips: Very true. Still I have to confess that my working life would have been much more difficult without the motorways.
Damned motorways - they destroy the peace and quiet for miles.
Despite the noise, it's very pretty...
