A wander around Droitwich 7

Houses seem to be selling OK. The signs are here as there is a development of houses over to the left which are not obvious from the road and someone who didn't know the area could struggle to find them!!

This is a good sign, I suppose, Bill?

Does this mean Old Dave and his crew have got the ship sailing true at last?
Bill Phillips: No it doesn't. Apparently according to the ougoing governor of the bank(rupt) of England recovery is in sight sometime in 2014

I'll buy the third tree on the right please, Bill.
Bill Phillips: A good choice madam
Our housing market is starting to make a comeback. That's a weird song...
Bill Phillips: Not one of his better efforts. He was successful here in the early 60s. You might recognise him if you were a star Trek fan. He appeared in a number of episodes uner his real name Richard Sarstead. I think his were always non speaking parts!
Are the selling fences or trees Bill... was there a price tag on the yellow extension cord hanging on the fence grin....petersmile
Bill Phillips: I think the Canadian Snow is getting to you Peter grin

Are you sure that it is not all of Droitwich which is being sold - maybe to be crated up and shipped abroad to Bangkok in order to annoy Mr Storey
Bill Phillips: Shaw insults my pictures, you insult my town. I'm going to move to Aminus3

They obviously expect brisk business, Bill
Bill Phillips: A much sought after area....well they always say that even if the address is Gasworks Lane

Since I visited GB, I wonder about the many signs 'For sale' at houses - but then I heard it is usual in England to leave/change the house in order to move to another one, a custom we don't know here, apart from the fact that the most people her are living in hired apartments/houses like me. I like your funny or sad observation!
Bill Phillips: We have a tradition of people wanting to buy their house...An Englishman's home is his castle! However, there has been a growth in private rented property in recent years. The builder who built the houses went bust and disappeared off to Spain
This image of Estate Agents doesn't improve my opinion of them. But they seem to be a neccessary evil.
Bill Phillips: Now is, perhaps, not a good time to tell you that Ange worked for an estate agent for over 20 years grin

I love that magic word SOLD, Bill. The housing sector is picking up in America, too, thankfully!
Bill Phillips: It isn't exactly Seller's mrket here Ginnie but properties do still seem to be selling.
Looks like Droitwich is rocking Bill. Nice to hear Eden Kane again
Bill Phillips: Centre of the country Janet. Not one of Eden Kane's better efforts!

Ha ha ha they can't wait to leave.
Bill Phillips: They are all moving down to Cirencester

I assumed that they were selling bits of fence.
Bill Phillips: You are nearly as silly as Tiff
It's good to see sold signs Bill it makes a pleasant change.
Bill Phillips: Overall properties are selling but not at quite the inflated prices of a while back
There is a block of apartments in Loughborough with multitude of "To Let" signs outside on the main road, with collections of identical signs from several different estate agents, I can't understand why each agent doesn't put up just one sign, instead of one for each apartment on their books.
Bill Phillips: A lot of apartments don't allow the estate agents to do that. And rightly so. It adds nothing to the landscape!

A tramp desperate to sell his cosy embankment? smile
Bill Phillips: They have all moved to the new library in Worcester John
Property sale seems to be a good business Bill! Fine capture.
Bill Phillips: Sales aren't exactly booming but properties are still selling
The sign business seems to be on the up, if nothing else.
