Ah, snow! The photographer's delight and the driver's nightmare. smile
Bill Phillips: Very true. I had walked to town as it is only a 30 minute walk and not worth risking the car as like most people here i don't have winter tyres
That's starting to look like home Bill... except the houses are all stuck together... wonderful composition Mate....petersmile
Bill Phillips: grin This is actually a Hotel Peter so is one building. Sadly it is closed at the moment but now has new owners so hopefully it will be brought back to life as it is a well known landmark
that's a lot of snow. this is perfect, picture postcard material.
Bill Phillips: We had about 4 inches (10cm) yesterday, which for us is a lot!

What a delightful scene. I'm so pleased that you left this in colour. One of your best for a long time.
Bill Phillips: I tried it in b&w and decided it was better in colour. Pleased you like it Alan

Yes, one of your best - a wonderful winterscene as we could experience here before the daily traffic came - but from my balcony I can still enjoy this tranquillity of wintertime - for you you!
Bill Phillips: hopefully the sun will shine today and the snow will look very pretty!
Thanks pal ... My side road out on to a better gritted road is up hill and round a sharp bend ... What a bummer.
I think I'm going to be staying in bed for a week or walking.
Bill Phillips: I am walking. did essential food shopping on Thursday so no need to go to supermarket. Watching England make a pigs breakfast of the one day international against India

This is more like it - a fine composition of Big D under not quite so much snow as we've got here
Bill Phillips: This was about noon. It snowed for another 6 hours and we have about 4 or 5 inches now.
What a makeover with a dusting of snow, Christmas card or place mat standard.
Bill Phillips: Actually I like the idea of place mats!
This is a delightful scene Bill, stay warm smile
Bill Phillips: I've got my cap and muffler smile
It's a pretty Winter scene too.
Bill Phillips: It carried on snowing all day and we ended up with a good 4 inches...which for us is a lot!!
Joking about your location aside, Bill, ( smile ) This is a very nice shot. Apart from a couple of modern day intrusions, tyre tracks and hydrant signs,it's quite timeless.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Frank. I could have cloned both out, and as it is a dreary overcast day today, I might after we have lost the cricket
See summer has come early to you Bill.Be careful when you go out ,don't want any broken bones. broken camera yes.
Bill Phillips: You are becoming very silly with advancing years Shaw. Soon you will be a silly as your pictures
This is a lovely picture Bill, with no traffic it looks like an old-fashioned Christmas card with that old building. We've had 5 - 6 inches of snow, but guess what, the gritter lorry has just been round our estate, that's most unusual in such times.
Bill Phillips: Our road never gets gritted and is like a skating rink. The main roads are ok by all accounts. It is grey and overcast so I haven't bothered to go out!
Lovely winter scene Bill. You had much more snow than we did yesterday!
Bill Phillips: I reckon we had at least 10cm which is a lot for us!

What a lovely picture, we haven't had any snow here, so just gloomy grey for ussad
Bill Phillips: Sadly the snow has not been shown at its' best as it has been grey and overcast all day here.
Just right for a Christmas card, Bill.
Bill Phillips: too late as usual...story of my life grin
A Dickensian scene, Bill. Very good. I rather like the little splashes of colour
Bill Phillips: The splashes of colour were why I didn't convert this to b&w as I had intended
A winter wonderland! Welcome to my world! smile
Bill Phillips: Looks like we will have this for a few days at least!
