A fine image, Bill.

Are these folks seekers after the fabled droitwurst?
Bill Phillips: They may well be Ray.
I am enjoying your dark side very much in this series Bill... it's a dramatic shot....petersmile
Bill Phillips: That is nice to know Peter, Thank you

WOWSER, that looks like a great place. Wonderful B&W. Love the light and the skies.
Bill Phillips: The Raven hotel has been empty and closed for a number of years but is now under new ownership so we wait to see what will happen to this landmark building Lady P

Even the locals need a map ...
Bill Phillips: These are probably examples of our fast burgeoning tourist trade

I know that you love criticism Bill. Right...the two figures looking at a map to work out how to escape should be better illuminated. You can do this in PS.
Bill Phillips: I do indeed Chad and am inclined to agree with you. The sign board glows nicely thoughsmile

Another fine classic B&W Bill. Have you corrected the verticals? I only ask as the figures look a little squat - don't forget to stretch the height of the image to compensate for the compression. Apologies if this isn't the case.
Bill Phillips: No, although it has been cropped on the right and at the bottom. It was taken at the widest on my wide angle zoom...15mm in 35mm terms and it does look as if the sign and people have been squashed. A bit of tilt perhaps. The original looks the same but another shot without the people shows a taller looking notice board
A magnificent tree lives in Victoria Square as well as these lovely black and white buildings. A dramatic feel to the shot.
Bill Phillips: The Raven is black and white and part of it is a listed building Mary
Like that sky, Bill! Happy New Year smile
Bill Phillips: Thank you Martin and a happy new year to you too
It's a very attractive square Bill. Nice shot
Bill Phillips: It is rather nice, you tend to take the things around you for granted until you show them to someone who isn't familiar with them
Your treatment of this is excellent Bill, fantastic tones. Am I right in thinking you're a recent Lightroom convert? If so, it's certainly paid off.
Bill Phillips: Yes indeed. i tried it a long time ago and was reluctant to pay the then price for it. Now the latest version is a sensible price it is just too good to not have1 Still a novice with it but i'm enjoying learning

Those b&W buildings would look even better in colour. You're probably tell me that they painted pink or something.
Bill Phillips: The Raven is painted black and white Alan grin
Well the sky is ok...
Bill Phillips: You are getting as bad as Shaw! wink
That looks rather a nice square Bill, and I like the mono presentation.
Bill Phillips: It is Brian. You should come and visit sometime so that i can show you

Your treatment gives the place a time warp feeling, I particularly like the sky
Bill Phillips: I have lived in a time warp here for over 30 years Anne grin
Great tones and Square
More grand lighting and effect.
