Oh yes, it is - and I have been there last June - a real jewel Charles Paget Wade did once create! I recognise the Wade blue!
Bill Phillips: It is an amazing place. Haven't been for a while although it isn't that far from us

Oh good Lord - pass the confectionery around!

Actually it would be better without those clouds of steam...
Bill Phillips: Of course it would

The inscription above the entrance gate: "A Gardyn walled al with stoon / So Fair a gardyn wot I nowhere noon". (from Chaucer, A Merchant's Tale, middle English -do you understand?) - St. George struggling against the dragon - and the white doves from the dove house I so loved - your photo really captures the homely atmosphere of Snowshill Manor & Gardens!
Bill Phillips: Indeed so and on the original you can read it, but it is lost on here!
You don't half put some c-ap up.there should be a separate page on SC for you to put your rubbish on.
Bill Phillips: Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Gorgeous shot here, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mary, pleased you like it
Very chocolatey! I'm intrigued by the figure on the end of the house there
Bill Phillips: I have a close up of it somewhere. It is a bloke ringing a bell. It has some significance but I can't remember what!
Very nice place and picture Bill, a tad over with the vignette but no other complaints, unlike some who I won't mention!!
Bill Phillips: The vignette is totally OTT Brian. Not quite sure what possessed me grin
Very chocy indeed, Bill - needs a few ribbons though, for authenticity smile
Bill Phillips: and a Thorntons logo

Very nice indeed.

It poured with rain the day I visited!
Bill Phillips: Thanks CP. We have been twice and had sun both times. It isn't all that far from us
A beautiful choccie box indeed Bill. Well done.
Bill Phillips: Mine's the coffee cream smile
Hope this chocolate box is full of joy for all the Phillips up there & wish you a Happy Christmas, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Juan Carlos. I wish you and yours a very happy Christmas too
Ooh! How sweet!
Bill Phillips: Ain't it just?

Even before I saw the title, I guessed where this was. I've never been there! Such beautiful stonework and the glorious sky helps the image.
Bill Phillips: Well worth a visit Alan
