I like the look of all that carved wood, Bill...and the broad floor planks.
Bill Phillips: Lovely isn't it. Great lumps of English oak
This has such a warm feeling to it!
Bill Phillips: the house dates back to the Tudors and was extensively restored in the 1920s by the Lyle family who made their money from sugar. The house was saved by them from dereliction and is now cared for by the National Trust. It is unfurnished

I love the sepia toning - and agree completely with Astrid! Fine perspective, too!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Philine. The house was restored from near dereliction in the 1920s and dates back to the Tudors

Bill Phillips: Thank you Sesan. Pleased you like it
Only a small leap to swing on the chandeliers.

Hey Bill - that's just round the corner from where I am now at my Mum's. It's one of my favourite stately homes.
Bill Phillips: We loved it when we went and I think we will go again
A very fine shot Bill, and the toning is lovely. You will have to teach your friend Mr.Pig how to produce great pictures like this one.
Bill Phillips: He is past teaching. thinks he knows it all
very good choice in tonality & composition Bill..
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Juan Carlos.
A wonderful subtle perspective here Bill! Great framing and treatment.
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Richard
