Looks like it might have been Jane's birthday, Bill...I wonder if ole Ot knows the words to the Birthday Song?
Bill Phillips: What makes you think that Ray?
"I can't do what ten people tell me,
so I guess I'll remain the same."

Words to live by. smile
Bill Phillips: There are far worse Larry. smile
Lot's of great colors and shapes and things going on! LOVE that Otis clip!
Bill Phillips: If you like that sort of music he was very much one of the best.
Working boats inside and out... each a wonderful shot in this presentation Bill... and i like the song too....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Well i am pleased you like it all Peter. Thanks

Great set of pictures. I like the 'bubbly boat' (Top left)
Bill Phillips: I have no idea what it was all about Lady P, but it certainly brightened things up a bit

Things are looking up!

Well having said that anywhere is bound to be better than Bournemouth...
Bill Phillips: Same day but it had stopped raining

In fact Bournemouth even made Droitwich desirable!
Bill Phillips: Droitwich is the Holiday destination of the decade. The canal and the sausage are enough to bring folk in their millions.

Yes, here is some high life and some working (life is working) - and many things can be observed. But I miss the words to name them all.
Bill Phillips: I don't know what some of them are called either Philine smile

It's all the trappings that totally engage me, Bill. I'm a glutton for them!
Bill Phillips: Well feast away Ginnie grin

A big sigh of relief, Bill
Bill Phillips: It finally stopped raining and was only dull and overcast.

Weymouth is, on the whole, a nice town Bill, particularly the area where you took these.
Bill Phillips: I like Weymouth, much more than Bournemouth and not just because of the weather.
All in glorious colour too. Thumbs up for this one
Bill Phillips: Well it had finally stopped raining Janet
I now feel sorry for the people of Weymouth. Its not a bad place.
Bill Phillips: Not half as sorry as I feel for the people of Devon, the county where I spent my formative years. I have to deny I have ever heard of you when i speak to friends and relations down there
The boat must be invited to a party and is bringing the balloons. LOVE Otis Redding.
Bill Phillips: It's a great track, ideal for a party.
I'd have fried fish from the local Chippy if, as your images suggest, it has good fresh supplies. I'd forget the chips though.
Bill Phillips: We actually had an all day breakfast in a rather nice little cafe in the town Richard

These photo suggest serious fishing
Bill Phillips: I think you are right vintage. some of the Olympics came from here
Otis lyrics: always wonder what do you need a fishing navy for if then the largest percentage of fish you eat is that thing you call fish at the fish & chips restaurants?
Bill Phillips: Fish and chips done properly is one of the finest things you can eat Juan Carlos.

What a lot of balloons - are they having a party ;o)

The first song to keep The Beatles off number one in the charts - Lady Madonna being the 'victim' as I recall.
Bill Phillips: Strewth you are a bigger anorak of 60s music than I am

Sitting on the dock, eating plaice and chips.
Bill Phillips: Never a bad idea Louis
A fine collage Bill, harbours, tide in or out, are such good places for shots, I have a series on Lynmouth harbour coming up very soon.
Bill Phillips: I will look forward to those Brian as Lynmouth is a delight
You've couldn't have picked a better song to accompany this fine set of images, Bill.
Bill Phillips: It did seem an obvious choice Beverlysmile
I haven't been to Weymouth in a few years! Looks like you were luckier with the weather?
A fine collage and nice tune, Bill!
Bill Phillips: It was a long time since we ghad been there. Same day as Bournemouth but the rain stopped!
Fine colourful collage! Nice to notice that it stopped rainig Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thankfully it did Richard.
Well, this is certainly an improvement on Bournemouth - thanks for the relief, Bill!
